Vinta A. Adams, 94, of Litt Carr, died March 27, 2008 at the Hazard ARMC. She was born in May, Kentucky on August 6, 1913 to Wiley Jay Amburgey and Nancy Honeycutt Amburgey. She was preceded in death by her husband Sid Adams; parents; sisters and brothers: Lottie, Gerta, Dulcie, Monie, Norris, Delta, Gorman, Maynard and Lester. She is survived by 2 sons: Stanley (Erma) Adams and Rudean (Sue) Adams; 1 daughter: Nancy (Roger) Pigman; 9 grandchildren: Paul (Anna), Tammy, Robin, Sandy (Blake), Bryan (Melissa), Jill (Anthony), Acacia (Bryan), Joshua and Jordan (Heather); 8 great grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews; 1 sister-in-law: Francis Amburgey; caregiver: Esther Gibson. Funeral services will be 2:30PM, Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Hindman Funeral Services Chapel with Danny Dixon, Elwood Cornett and Don Pratt officiating. Burial will follow at Carr Fork Memorial at Litt Carr, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 6-10PM, Friday with services at 7PM.
