Welcome to our website. I'm Annette Potter, b 1948 Letcher Co KY, d/o Creed Flannery Potter and Ida Fuller. I was born in the beautiful Eastern Kentucky Mountains. My sisters and brothers are Archie, Dan, Ralph, (deceased) Fred, (deceased) Washie (died as infant), Creed Flannery (died as infant), Billie Joyce, Clark, Marty, (deceased) David, and Carlene Potter.  See Annette's Lineage.   Annette's Photo Gallery.

I am not a professional genealogist, but I do love genealogy and work diligently to put our giant ancestral - descendant puzzle together. My reason for doing each family page by page is to be able to clearly view who is connected to whom. My goal is to connect each and every person to his or her own parentage or descendant. For that reason alone, this work will never be done. It continues to be a work in progress and I'm sure you will find many errors that need correction. My hope is that others will see these pages and fill in the blanks or correct my mistakes until, working together with family and friends, we may present the genealogy of all these families accurately and as completely as possible. I hope those who read these pages will not be offended by the errors that you are going to find, but will instead, point out these errors to me by submitting corrections and additional information. Thanks to everyone who has sent in corrections and additions and I look forward to each and every future correction or addition that I may receive.

Our sister, Billie married Charles Jaynes and sister, Carlene married Dubby Burkland. All our brothers and sisters were born in the same place in Kentucky.

Our Dad Creed F Potter and our brothers, Fred, Washie (died as infant) and Creed Flannery (died as infant) Potter (sons of Creed and 1st wife Sarah) passed away and are buried in the Reynolds Family Cemetery in Seco, Letcher Co KY. Our brother, Ralph (s/o Creed and 1st Sarah) is buried in McLeansboro, Illinois near his wife, Macie Emma Austin Potter, and our brother, Marty (s/o Creed and Ida),  recently passed away on 10 Aug 2006, and is buried in Houston, Texas in the Houston National Cemetery.

Our Father, Creed F Potter, married (1st) to Sarah Rose Robinson. Dad married 2nd to Elizabeth Betty Brown and 3rd to our Mom, Ida Fuller.  Click on This Link to see the sons and daughters of Creed and Ida Potter. Click on This Link to see the sons of Creed and Sarah Potter. Dad and 2nd wife, Betty Brown, didn't have children together, but I believe Betty had at least 2 daughters from a previous marriage. Betty's daughters lived in Cincinnati, OH with family members.

Our Dad Creed resided in McRoberts, Letcher, KY at the time of his death on 26 January 1959.  Dad was the son of Joel "Mart" Potter and Eliza Frances Reynolds. Dad and both sets of our Grandparents were born in the same area of Kentucky. Our ancestors lived in the same area of Kentucky for generations.  Our family was the 1st generation in our family to leave that part of the world to earn a living.

Our Mom, Ida Fuller Potter is the daughter of Elijah "Green" Fuller and Leona Smith. Mom and her ancestors were all born in the same area of Kentucky and lived there for generations.

Our Granny, Dad's Mother, Eliza Francis Reynolds, was the daughter of William Henry Reynolds and Matilda Frances Baker. Granny is also buried in the Reynolds Cemetery, Seco, KY near Dad. Dad's 1st wife Sarah is buried next to him in the Reynolds Family Cemetery, as well. Thank you for dropping by our website.
