Mrs Gracie Johnson 73 of Bimble passed away Wednesday July 22 1998 at the Knox Co Hospital.
She was the d/o the late Harvey and Maggie May Edward.
Mrs Johnson was a homemaker and attended the Old Ark House of Prayer.
She united in marriage with Thomas Jordan who preceded her in Death. On Dec 31 1948 she united in marriage with George J Johnson.
Survivors include 8 children: Addie Duff of Manchester, Finley and Cora Johnson, Delores and Eddie Gray, Magdalene Johnson, Ella Johnson, James Ernest Johnson, Melvin Johnson and J B Jordan and wife Betty, all of Bimble; 2 sisters: Susan Jordan of Manchester and Opal Downey of Georgetown; 9 grchildren and 9 grgrchildren.
Funeral Services were conducted at the Locust Grove Baptist Church at Girdler on July 25 at 2 pm with the Revs Raymond Hill, Bobby Epperson and Charles Eversole officiating. Burial followed in the Marion Cemetery at Girdler.
Knox Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
