William "Bill" was a blacksmith in McKee for 55 years. He lived at the mouth of Bill's Branch road. His house sat where the Ben Franklin Store is now. "Wick" Lainhart lived near William. In an interview, "Wick" told me he remembered when he was a little boy watching William and his brother, Joe, argue. He said one of them would draw a line in the sand and dare the other to cross it.
