When the Rev James Anglin came to Clay Co. Ky, he bought land on Anglin's fork of Stugin Creek, and cleared the land around his home within rifle shot as protection against the Indians. Joel and Catherine divorced after 1865 in Kentucky.

Martha Hensley Barrett

Martha and Joel's marriage certificate has her listed as Hensley.
However on her son Jimmy Joel's death Certificate it states her maiden name as Barrett. She and her sister Elizabeth were born to Barbara Hensley, apparently out of wedlock. As to why it was put as Barrett on the death certificate is assumed to be because they were the illegitamate children of Barbara and William Barrett, as he lived close the her family and was known to mess around.

5388. Thee Bundy
