Christine Boggs Meade 1944 - 28 July 2008

MEADE Christine B, 64, gracefully answered the Lords calling and was welcomed Home to Heaven July 28, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was no stranger to obstacles in life, although diagnosed with polio as a child, she was still determined to succeed in life. She became a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, advocate and caregiver to the elderly as a hospice caregiver for 25 years. Mrs. Meade spent her life giving dignity and love to countless individuals in the last stages of their lives, always giving far more than was asked. No one is more deserving of a grand farewell. You will forever be missed by all who were fortunate to have known you. She is survived by daughter, Karen Meade, Lexington, KY; sons, Stephen Meade, also of Lexington, KY, and Greg Tatum, Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Tiffany Shelton; grandson, Brandon Smith; sisters, Evelyn Rutherford, Lexington, KY, Irene Watts, Clarksville, TN, Imogene Fleming, Neon, KY and Martha Roberts, Pound, VA; brothers, Bob Boggs, Detroit, MI, Tommy and Henry Boggs, Jenkins, KY and Bill Boggs, Lexington, KY; numerous other loving family members; longtime companion, Obie Wayne Sloan; and true friends, Tina Lynn and Alice White. As a celebration of her life, a memorial service will be held 12:30 pm Sat, Aug 2, 2008 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY; The family has requested no flowers.
