ii. Conard Bolling b 17 Sept 1907 Flat Gap, Wise Co VA d 1983 m. Female Hubbard. Conard's sister, Flora, remembers him as sweet-natured, generous, but conservative, and unpretentious. He could play many musical instruments and loved to sing and harmonize. He was an excellent school teacher and maintained class discipline without using the paddle. His ingenuity was demonstrated throughout his life. He built his own house, managed a neighborhood grocery store with the help of his wife, and taught school. His logical mind and innate curiosity were obvious to anyone who talked with him. The legacy he left his sons, Roger and Gary, is something beyond the material; it works out to be an instilled perseverance to succeed in their own endeavors and an admiration for their father.
