Debbie, Sister of Cathy J Collins
23 July, 2008
A prayer request is for my younger and only sister Debbie.
Several weeks ago she had her sinus cavity drained and some pulps and cysts
removed. Her doctor was on vacation in Canada when he called her with the news
that she had cancer in her sinus cavity. Last Wednesday, my sister called me and
was scared.
She had a CT scan and they said it didn't get in her brain. Next Tuesday, Debbie
will have surgery to remove her left eye, cheek bone and part of her nose at the
St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. No reconstructive surgery can
be done until all the cancer cells are gone. She needs all our prayers and moral
support.

Tornado Victims, KY and TN
From Ann Meador: Thank you for your prayers for the
tornado victims, it hit our county about three in the morning took the lives of
four of our friends and neighbors one being an infant of two years old and his
grandmother, Praise be to God it hit a rural area here in our county with no
more deaths but about 100 injured, the county adjoining us the death toll has
reached fourteen at last count with still two hundred missing.
I live about three miles from where it started here in Kentucky and about ten
miles where it entered into Tennessee ( Macon County ). I was in Macon County
both Thursday and Friday and it looks like the little town of Lafayette,
Tennessee has had a full fledged war going on, I have never seen such
devastation. Please keep the victims of this tragedy in your thoughts and
prayers. If anyone would like to donate to these counties they can call the
Macon County Sheriff's Office at 1-615-666-4725 or the Allen County Sheriff's
Office at 1-270-237-3210. My heart goes out to the victims and their families.
I give my utmost respect and support to our President George Bush for his visit
to these counties, not just flying over to view the damage but coming on ground
to show his concern and talk with the families of this horrible disaster. Thank
you again for keeping these people in your thoughts and prayers. From the
guestbook on our website by Ann Meador. Please keep the families devastated by
the tornadoes in your prayers

Robbie Gross
17 December, 2007
Colton Riffe and Robbie Gross

Below is an email asking for prayer for Robbie Gross. Please be in prayer for him and his family.
As many of your already know my son's (Colton) best friend Robbie has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. Robbie is 9 years and in the 4 th grade at Martha Jane Potter Elementary School. His prognosis was very poor especially in the beginning. We had been a little more optimistic until this week. Below is an update on his condition and a request for prayers.
Once again, we are desperately seeking prayers for Robbie. He was suppose to begin his 5 day treatment yesterday in Lexington, Ky. As many of you know his ANC have been very low. This number is used to determine a leukemia patients ability to fight infection and the body's ability to accept chemotherapy. ANCs vary from zero to in the thousands with a normal range of 1800-7000. Anything below 500 is severe. Robbie's is now in the single digits. His treatments have been discontinued until his condition improves. He's weak and tired; he has no appetite and when he does it's quickly followed by nausea. A few weeks ago Robbie weighed 96 pounds; yesterday he weighed 72 lbs.
I know many of you are already praying and we must continue to be diligent in those prayers. We're asking every person and every church to take time this
Sunday, December 16th between 11 am and noon and say a special prayer for Robbie. It's essential for Robbie to resume his treatments as soon as possible. His numbers will be checked again on Monday.
Robbie Gross Praying

I have a God who works miracles and that's what I'm asking for this Christmas. I'm blessed with three healthy children, to ask for anything more would merely be selfish.
Remember to not only pray for Robbie but his entire family; they are very discouraged. Brady (Robbie's brother) is currently out of school in order to protect Robbie from any infections that he might bring home. They can't have any visitors until Robbie improves.
Please send this prayer request to everyone. Ask your church to say a special prayer on Sunday for this little boy and his family. I know it helps to put a face with prayer request, here are a couple of pictures that were taken about a month ago when Robbie was doing better.
