Obituary: Doshia Cornett Lewis: Visitation will be held 5-8:30pm Friday, June 27, 2008 at Tri City Funeral Home in Benham, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Coyles Branch Primitive Baptist Church in Gilley with Rev. Irvin Birchfield and Elder Glenn Cornett officiating. Interment will follow in Lewis Family Cemetery at Gilley. Jeff Starling, Greg Starling, Ron Starling, Jonathan Starling, and Bill Lewis will serve as pallbearers. Survivors include two children, Bobby Lewis, Indianapolis, IN; Mable Starling, Sterling Heights, MI; 2 brothers, Otis Cornett, Gordon; Alfred Cornett, Cumberland; one sister, Myrtle Lewis, Gordon; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Lewis; her parents, Clark and Nancy Miniard Cornett; one brother, Eddie Cornett; and one sister, Mary Jane Lewis. Doshia Cornett Lewis, 99, of Sterling Heights, MI, formerly of Gilley, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008. Mrs. Lewis was a native of Gilley and lived there most of her life. She was a homemaker; believed in the Baptist faith; and was a member of Coyles Branch Primitive Baptist Church at Gilley. Tri-City Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
