Chloe Morgan Stamper, age 81, of Hazard, Ky., died Saturday, June 28 2008 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center. Mrs. Stamper was a life long resident of Perry County and was formally employed as a nurse with the Mt. Mary Hospital and Hazard ARH. She was a a member of the Little Willard Church of Christ. She was the daughter of the late Elijah Morgan and the late Mary Hamblin Morgan. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Stamper, son Teddy Stamper, brothers Richard, Johnny, and Elijah Morgan and sisters Ethel Collins, Mallie Feltner and Prudie Holman. She is survived by Ethel Joyce Collins and Edgar of Krypton, Ky., Brenda Lois Watters and Reuben of Ten Mile Creek, Gail Franks and Charles of Cadiz, Ky., Audrey Owen and Bobby of Hazard and Sharon Kaye Lewis and Ronnie of Smilax, Ky.; sons James Edward Stamper and Sharon of Morehead, Ky. and Charles David Stamper and Sharon of Morristown, Tn.; sister Barbara Morris of Busy; brother Farris Morgan of New Carlisle, Ohio. She is also survived by special niece Billie J. Couch, special friend Lillian Baker, 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Arrangements were handled by Maggard Brothers Funeral Home of Hazard where the family received friends on Tuesday, July 1 with the funeral service immediately following with Jack Carter officiating.
