Winnie Ritchie, (8 July 1915 - 28 April 2007) age 91, of Hazard, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Hazard ARMC. She was born in Knott County, Kentucky on July 8, 1915 to Balis Grigsby and Martha Combs Grigsby. She is survived by her daughter: Reva Joyce (Lloyd) Campbell; sons: Haskel (Alice) Ritchie, J.B. (Alice) Ritchie; stepdaughter: Violet (Steve) Payne; sister: Mary Kelly; 4 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the Summertown Regular Baptist Church with Howard Owens, Bob Combs, Mitch Fields and Densmore Goodson officiating. Mrs. Mary Ethel Kelly was born on June 8, 1923 and departed this life on July 5, 2009 at the age of 86 years and 27 days. She was the daughter of the late Balis Grigsby and Martha Combs Grigsby. By occupation she was a homemaker. Some of her hobbies included cooking and quilting. She attended the Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church in Sassafrass, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Foister Kelly; one brother: Brady Grigsby; three sisters: Lucy Grigsby, Winnie Ritchie, and Abby Dobson. She is survived by the following relatives: one son: Peyton Kelly & Ollie of Viper, KY; one grandson: Michael Peyton Kelly of Viper, KY. A host of neices, nephews, and church family also survive. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2009 at Little Dove Old Regular Baptist Church in Sassafrass, KY at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the church.
