Olvin and Susan Houston were my grandparents. My dad was Olvin Jr. The children are very much out of order. Correct is Hargis, Charley, Anna Velva (is the same and married a Hall), Baby, Cora, Olvin Jr. and James Denton. My Susan is not the "Big" Susan spoken of. There was another Susan Wright.

Im so glad I stumbled upon your website. I have found a few family pictures. Mt dad's (Ben Tolliver) great-gpa was Melvin B. Tolliver, gpa Caney Tolliver, Dad Jimmy Ellis Tolliver. His maternal gpa was Elbert Bentley, mom Callie Bentley Tolliver. My gparents had a pic of Melvin Tolliver as an old man with long beard sitting on a big rock, my dad thought it was the David Rocks. Im wondering if anyone might have a copy of this picture. Mamaw & Papaws is lost. Thank so much, Rhonda Tolliver Holloway.

I'm a Wallin researcher and direct descendant of John Wallin and Elizabeth Roberts of Tennessee. I thought you might appreciate a correction for your records. You have Samuel Igou Douglas Wallin as the son of James F. Wallin and Elizabeth McKeehan. James F. lived his adult, married life in Rockcastle, Kentucky. There is another James & Elizabeth who were the parents of Samuel. This is my line. He was James Thompson Wallin, son of Stephen Wallin and Elizabeth Igou, hence Samuel's middle name. They were in Smith's Crossroads, Rhea County, Tennessee in 1860 (US Census)then moved to Illinois before the civil war, then on to Missouri. It gets confusing because both James' were born 1831, Tennessee. My Elizabeth was Elizabeth Hampton Wallin b. 1832, Georgia. James F.'s wife, Elizabeth McKeehan, was born abt. 1836, they were married in Claiborne Co. Tn.(1857) about the same time my James & Elizabeth were married in Tn.(no record ever found and presumed destroyed in the civil war.) but then they went on to Kentucky. I hope this isn't too confusing! This is a common error that has been duplicated over and over but a little research will show both families and the obvious differences. regards, Paula Wallin Hubbard

Hi Annette. On your webpage at http://yeahpot.com/mcintyre/alexander.html You listed 1. Alexander McIntyre b1888 and 2. William McIntyre b.1889 as children of Alexander McIntyre and Jane Sumner. They are the children of Alexander's (b.1870) older brother Richmond McIntyre who was born April 5, 1862 and died Aug 25, 1949. I really appreciate all the hard work on your genealogy website.
