Thanks for your Potter Family article about Wiley J. Amburgy and Dianah Adams. The photo is great. Their daughter, Mary Polly Amburgey was my Grt. Grandmother. I am fairly certain that Dianah Adams was aunt to my grandmother Mallie Adams. Thanks again.

I wanted to make a comment and now I have two. First: I want to apologize if I sounded rude about joining the social network. I am hesitant about saying too much until I know someone well, and I still have problems there. I am really friendly. Sounds stupid, but that's me.
First comment. My mother came from south central Kentucky [Pulaski] and I have carried on my mother's sayings. My kids have laughed til they have cried. But my favorite thing is hearing in my mind's ear my grandfather Young saying, "Waal," and this or that. He had the softest southern accent. I loved him and the way he spoke. I remember hearing him laugh and I liked that as well. Even though I have never lived in Kentucky, Pulaski county feels like home,
Second Comment. Evidently you had a gentleman who was commenting about census takers. Those people I found were not the brightest bulbs in the light. For all the records I found, they misheard a lot, got names, ages, etc. wrong. But then, hey maybe who ever, or is it whomever? well, maybe they were disgusted about being questioned and just gave an answer. I have a couple relatives that I would believe it of them. To search the census, just be careful, and think about what you are seeing. I am sure they did their best in taking the census.
I don't know the entire conversations, so forgive me if I have annoyed you. I usually try to straddle the fence. [that is unless I am totally against something ha ha]
You have a nice website.

Does anyone know why Lydia and Abraham waited 19 or so years to have a first child? Abraham would have been 70 years old when his last child was born, this is not unheard of, of course. Some records show he was married to a Alice Goodell in 1784 b. 1770 and d. 1811 M 1784. I am a descendant of Abraham Potter through Reuben Potter b. Feb.2,1845 d. Sept. 12, 1930 in Tn. buried @ Potter's Cemetery in Trade, Tn. He is my mother's great grandfather. Any info, corrections,etc., would be appreciated. Thank you Becky

Once again, Mr Williamson, Let me explain something to you, since you seem to be lacking any form of intellect. I've dealt with a couple of other people on this issue. I suspect you are in league with them because of your anger. You have accused me of being a "thief". Mr Williamson, you can't steal facts. You are a liar! And you are trying to defame my character with your stupid accusations.
A little lesson for you and your cohorts;
Facts can’t be original expression No one can claim originality in a fact. At best, a person may discover a fact. If he discovers it and documents it, he has not created it. He has only reported it. There is no originality. Census takers, for instance, don’t create the data that result from their work. They write down the facts that they discover. Census data, therefore, can’t be copyrighted because it’s not original.
Since facts can’t be original expression, the copyright of any work doesn’t extend to the facts contained within it. This is a very important fundamental concept in genealogy, since genealogy so very much involves the pursuit, discovery, and collection of facts.
While copyright doesn’t extend to facts, the facts may be expressed in an original fashion. (Addition of graphics, etc.) When this occurs, the original expression used to convey the facts is protected, but the underlying facts are not.
Read this carefully, if you have the capacity. Now get off my back and stay off my website. If you would spend as much time on your own business as you do on mine, you wouldn't have to be so jealous.
