MELVA McINTOSH, age 86, of Alvin, Wisconsin, died Thursday (April 13) atthe Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

She was born May 13, 1919 in Floyd County, Kentucky, the daughter of thelate Alard and Myra (Newsome) Casebolt. She married Sisco Bowman in 1935and resided in Ecorse, Michigan for several years. In 1946 she moved toAlvin, Wisconsin where she had resided since. She married Vernon McIntoshin 1953 and he preceded her in death.

Melva's home was always filled with loving family and friends and no oneever went away hungry. She loved music, laughter, and good conversation.She was affectionately called "Mom" by many people beyond her actualfamily. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death bya son, James Arnold Bowman, a daughter, Myra Susan McIntosh, and threebrothers, Arnold, Harvey, and Bill Casebolt.

She is survived by:

2 Sons - Clinton (Mary) Bowman and David (Tari) McIntosh

2 Daughters - Loretta (Ken) Merrell and Leona (Watt) Stapleton

2 Brothers - Arthur and Hubert (Doris) Casebolt

1 Sister - Myrtle Newman

12 Grandchildren

28 Great grandchildren

2 Great-great grandchildren

Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call Friday (April 21) from 4 to 7 P.M. at the LangenbergFuneral Home - Iron River Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday(April 22) at 11:00 A.M. at the Little White Church in Alvin, Wisconsin.The Rev. Herman Spencer and the Rev. Charles Bowman will officiate.Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Alvin.

A memorial luncheon provided by the Alvin Women's Club will follow at theAlvin Town Hall.
