Polly Ann "Panny" Hogg m. (2) to W L Stallard Jr

February 16, 2011 - Panny Hogg Day Stallard, 92, of Kingscreek passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Panny was the daughter of the late Kelly and Jane Hall Hogg. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband: Butler Day and 2nd husband: W.L. Stallard Jr. Surviving are 5 sons: James B. Day (Jowanda) of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Roger L. Day (Priscilla) of Columbus, Indiana, Tony M. Day (Alene) of Richmond, Ronald G. Day (Cathie) of Lynch, and Rickey W. Day (Jill) of Kingscreek; 3 daughters: shelia J. Taylor of North Vernon, Indiana, Millie E. Banks (David) of Little Cowan, and Judith D. Jolly (James) of Hazard; 2 sisters: Mae Boggs of Kingscreek and Millie Wright of Hindman; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren. Funeral: 12:00 O'clock Noon Saturday, February 19, 2011 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Thompson officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Friday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Hogg Cemetery at Kingscreek, Kentucky.

Jane Hall's father, William Hall was actually William Phipps. Willie Phipps and Rebecca Wells were William's parents. They lived in North Carolina. I don't have all the facts surrounding them (as of yet), however, supposedly, Willie Phipps was killed by Indians. Rebecca (Becky) then brought her son William to Appalachia, Virginia. This is where she met and married Alex Hall. Therefore, William "Phipps" Hall was not by blood a true Hall." (Source).
