Obituary: Mrs Bernice Holbrook of 3773 Brumbough Blvd., Dayton, OH, passed away Sunday, Oct. 3, 1971, at Miami Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She is survived by her husband B. Hassel Holbrook, 5 daughters, Ruby Zidaroff of McRoberts, Joyce Taylor, Lexington, Nellie Adams, Dayton Ohio, Ann Yost, Trotwood, Ohio, Phyllis Clauss, Dayton Ohio, one sister Eliza Brown of Little Rock, Arkansas, four brothers, Stanley, Harrison, Mitchell and Roy Nickels, fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services were held at the West Chester Regular Baptist Church, Maude Ohio, burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.

James E. Age 69 of Dayton, passed away Monday, May 16, 2005 in Gibsonton, FL. He was born October 11, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He is survived by 4 daughters Terri Lamb and husband Don of Dayton, Traci Dextraze and husband Rick of Gibsonton, FL, Tonni Brown and husband Steve of W. Carrollton and Tamara Brown and husband Mike of W. Carrollton, 6 grandchildren Jason, Amber, Jessica, Lucas, Logan and Justynn.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton or to Life Path, 3725 Uppercreek Dr., Ruskin, FL, 33573.

YOST (Holbrook) Anna H. Age 81 of Clayton, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. Anna enjoyed doing crafts, traveling, especially to see her children and grandchildren and get togethers with the "Golden Girls". She was also very proud to have been a breast cancer survivor.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years: Raphael "Rafe" Yost, sons: Mike Yost of OR, Mark (Faye) Yost of GA, Phil (Marcia) Yost of CO, daughter: Amy (Geoff) Bowden of GA, 14 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, sister: Phyllis (Don) Lucas of FL, brother-in-law: Jimmy Zideroff of KY, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Benjamin and Bernice (Nichols) Holbrook and sisters: Joyce Taylor, Ruby Zideroff and Nellie Adams.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Precious Blood Catholic Church (4961 Salem Ave.) with Fr. Jim Seibert, C.P.P.S. as celebrant.

Interment will follow the Mass at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton, OH. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to The Samaritan Breast Center. Ruby H. Zidaroff, age 87, of McRoberts, Kentucky, passed away early Friday morning, June 27, 2013, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center, Hazard, Kentucky. She was born on September 8, 1925, at Sergent, Kentucky, and was a lifelong resident of Letcher County, Kentucky.

She was a mother and a homemaker, and was a retired school teacher, having taught science classes at Jenkins High School for fifty years. Mrs. Zidaroff was a member of the McRoberts Missionary Baptist Church, and was also a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, and sewing.

She was a daughter of the late Benjamin Hasel Holbrook & Bernice Nichols Holbrook, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Holbrook Taylor.

She is survived by her husband, James Zidaroff, of McRoberts, Kentucky; a daughter, Shelia Hill and husband Jack, of Huber Heights, Ohio; a son, Timothy Zidaroff and wife Sharon, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; three sisters, Ann Yost, Clayton, Ohio, Nell Adams, Brookfield, Ohio, and Phyllis Lucas, Venice Beach, Florida; three grandchildren, Lori Schroeder and Jan Morris, both of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Whitney Allison, of North Carolina; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday June 30, 2013, at the Polly & Craft Funeral Home from 6-9 pm. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday July 1, 2013 at the McRoberts Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor James Johnston, officiating. Interment will follow at the McRoberts Cemetery.

Zidaroff, 87, of McRoberts, died June 27 (2013) at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard. Born at Sergent to the late Benjamin Hasel and Bernice Nichols Holbrook, she was a sister of the late Joyce Holbrook Taylor.

She was retired as a science teacher for more than 50 years at the Jenkins High School, and was a member of the McRoberts Missionary Baptist Church and the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association.

She enjoyed crafts, gardening and sewing.

Surviving are her husband, James Zidaroff; a daughter, Shelia Hill and husband Jack of Huber Heights, Oh.; a son, Timothy Zidaroff and wife Sharon of Mt. Sterling; three sisters, Ann Yost, Clayton, Oh., Nell Adams, Brookfield, Oh., and Phyllis Lucas of Venice Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Lori Schroeder and Jan Morris, both of Huber Heights, Oh., and Whitney Allison of North Carolina; five great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held July 1 at McRoberts Missionary Baptist Church, (McRoberts, Letcher Co KY). Burial was in McRoberts Cemetery, (McRoberts, Letcher Co KY). Carty Funeral Home, Polly & Craft of Jenkins, (Letcher Co KY) had charge of arrangements.


Obituary: James Zidaroff Jr

James Zidaroff, Jr., age 91, of McRoberts, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the Letcher Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Whitesburg, Kentucky. He was born on March 8, 1926 at Dunham, Kentucky to the late James Zidaroff, Sr. and Myrtle Caudill Zidaroff. James was a longtime member of the McRoberts Missionary Baptist Church and served his country honourably in the United States Military. Mr. Zidaroff was loved deeply by his family and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death also by his loving wife: Ruby Holbrook Zidaroff; one brother: Ed Zidaroff.

Mr. Zidaroff is survived by one son: Tim (Sharon) Zidaroff of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; one daughter: Shelia (Jack) Hill of Huber Heights, Ohio; two brothers: Danny (Reeda) Zidaroff of Charlotte, North Carolina and Roger (Tessie) Zidaroff of Tipp City, Ohio; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nephews and nieces; along with a host of other family and many friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation for Mr. Zidaroff will be held at the Carty Funeral Chapel of Neon, Kentucky on Thursday, December 28, 2017; with family viewing at 5:00 PM and the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 29, 2017 from the McRoberts Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jim Johnston officiating. A private burial, due to weather conditions, will take place at the McRoberts Cemetery located at McRoberts, Kentucky.
