Jessee,born 17 Sep 1846, son of Archer Samuel and Christina Jessee.[Apparently,from the following, this assumption must be in error.]

My great grandma was Maud Jessee White, her father was FloydJesseemaking her grandparents George Jessee and Laura Jane Buckles.They had ason named Floyd Candler Jessee b. 1/16/1868 in VA, d.12/12/1942-Glencoe, Payne Co., OK. The reason I started this line asone of myfirst is because all of Maud's children (including mygrandfather) arealive and except for one are in great health mentallyand physically. Ihave them all working dilligently gathering upwhatever family info theyhave for me. Right now I have the completeinfo on all of Maud'schildren and their descendants and most of theinfo on Maud's siblings.

I also had correspondence with a relative,Jeani Sandefer inAustin, Texas approx. 20 years ago. Our two lines
separated at the level of Vincent Jessee. I haven't been in contactwithher since then but she had a wealth of information. Neither of useverreferred to George T. Jessee with the name Lea as part it. GeorgeT.Jessee moved to Kansas in late 1869 of early 1870 because Floyd b.1868and Octavia b. 1869 are listed as born in Virginia in the 1870Census ofKansas. Floyd married Leona McLaughlin and
moved to Nora, Oklahoma in Lincoln Co. in 1891 which was part of the2ndRun for Land in Oklahoma. Two years later they lined up on theborder ofthe Cherokee Strip and staked out property in what wasreferred to as the"Last Run". MY grandmother tells this story which Iassume is true, thatthey stopped to get some water at a stakedproperty and the man theretold them that the area that Floyd and Leonawere headed for had alreadybeen taken by "sooners" but he
would give his rights to them for that property for $50 and theirhorse,which is how they acquired their first property in Oklahoma.
I have all of the information of the descendants of Maud JesseeandJohn White and a few of the brothers and sisters of Maud.
