TheyhadCathy Louise Gilliam, Jerry Michael Gilliam, Janie Flo Gilliam,RonnieLuther Gilliam, Donnie Cheston(Chastin) Gilliam, RebeccaCarolineGilliam, Margaret Ann Gilliam and Angelita Faye Gilliam. Theylateradopted a daughter, Meagen Fay Gilliam. As you can see my Motherlovedchildren.
I know some background on my aunts but I'm not sure of the dates. Iknowthat Ella married William {Bill} Bowen. Gladys married JuniorEslinger.Dorothy married Ray Jessee.

I did a little more research on Lee Jessee and his son WilliamChastonJessee in the Scott County Cemetery Records. Lee was born 1908and died1957. William C. was born Dec 7, 1927 and died July 31, 1976.They areburied at Cox Chapel Cemetery in Scott County, VA. That infois in ScottCounty VA Cemetery Records Book 5 page 44. Note inElizabeth's obit thatMinnie (wife of Lee) remarried to a Kinnison.+++++++++++++
Another brother, Cecil Harmon Jessee, Sr. was born Sept 11, 1935. He
married Marie Nellie Stanley, daughter of Ruth Thompson Stanley andBillStanley. She was born Nov 12, 1938. They were married March 15,1958.They have one son, Cecil Harmon Jessee, Jr. born Sept 2, 1970.Hemarried Melissa Underwood. She was born in Scott County, Va., on June 3, 1931and was amember of Cox's Chapel Church, Mabe, Va. She was preceded indeath by herparents, Lee Jessee and Minnie Frazier Kinnison. She wasalso precededin death by her first husband, Rhea Hass; and secondhusband, BillHartsell; brother, William Jessee; and two daughters,Glenna and JudyHass.

Sorry it took me so long to get back with you on this but I wastryingto find out more information on otis. My grand father was Estellee(June's oldest brother) and Otis was their father. I was able tofind outthat he was born on October 7 1907 and passed away July 201985 and hewas born in Tazwell, TN. His father was Charlie Jessee andall I was ableto find out about him was that he came down to TN fromVA. After speakingto one of my great aunts I found out that a lot ofmy tree has been done.A lot of it has been done by a cousin J.K.Jessee, I was told I have methim but I can't remember. Also from whatI was told Charlie Jessee had abrother Lee and another son namedDallas. As far as the age at deathgoes....my father had MultipleSclerosis and his father died in a loggingaccident and his fatherlived to be around 77. My Great-grandfather Otishad 8 children 5 girlsand ...Estel Lee ( my papaw), Hollis (not sure ifspelling is correct)and my great aunt June are the only ones that havepassed away the restare still alive and the youngest is 62 I believe. Mygreat aunt'sPauline and Shirley are supposed to be gathering up theinformationthat they have and emailing it all to me or snail mail. MyGreat auntShirley thinks she has alot of the family pictures andpossiblypictures of headstones from an old family cemetery that isessentiallyimpossible to get to now. But they did get the names off themarkersand headstones when they were there years ago. Hopefully over thenextfew months I will be able to get with them and collect all thedatathey have collected over the years and make some sense of it all.David Jessie II

I have heard my father talk of a JohnJessee. Ihave 2 sons, Moses and Joshua, three brothers, and foursisters, onedeceased brother and two deceased sisters. My aunts on theJessee sidewere Ida, Enie, Alla or Hollie. My uncles were Chasten,Lee, and Dewey.My grandfather, Robert, owned a bunch of farms and hisfather was wealthywhen he came to America and had many slaves. This isabout all I know.
