My grandparents were Roby Houston Jessee, b. 1892 Russell County VAandElla Neal Taylor. I have a great interest in the Jessee line andhavehad a very difficult time with the Taylor line. I found out froman auntthat Ella's mother was named Polly and that she had married aWilliamBranson.
In the extraction record that is posted there is a Polly BRANSON, 61
years old; d. 16 Jan 1915, d/o Ambers (Ambrose?) TAYLOR & NancyWELLS,reported by Dick TAYLOR.
This information fits with what my aunt had shared with me (as far as
she could recall). My grandmothers brother was Dick TAYLOR, also myauntthought that Ambrose might have been Ella's father, but accordingto thisextraction it looks as if Ambrose may have been hergrandfather.
