She was born in Letcher County, Kentucky on July 28, 1915 to Randal Adams and Pheobe Janie Proffitt Adams. She is survived by 2 daughters: Patty Parks and Freda (Bill) Fannin; 2 stepdaughters: Peggy Fannin and Dean Seals; grandchildren: Starla Slone, Candi Fannin, Jeffrey Parks and Penny Parks; great grandchildren: Brittani Slone, Corey Slone, Cameron Parks and Mia Parks; brother: Edward Adams; sister: Malva Kiser.
