More about Margaret Webb Killen

Margaret Webb was a Midwife. She delivered several of her grandchildren. Some of them were: Rosella, Inettia, Lydia and Billie of her son Marvins family, Zella and Delmer of her daughter Betties, Robert "Bobby", Virginia "Gency", my mother Nancy "Carole" of her son Delmer, Maxie, Tarncie, Virgil, Margaret and Kenos of her daughter Georgia. She deliver 108 babies one set of twins and two still born babies while living at "Twin-Branch". A man once came to get her to deliver his wife and he asked her is she was that "mid-night" doctor. On cold winter months she loved to get her children and set by the warm fire and put on a pot of water to make mush and sing her favorite song "The Uncloudy Day". She was an excellent mother. by Mitzi Mullens
