9, 2001) at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation, Weber City, Va.
She was born on Sept. 17, 1921 in Sullivan County to the late Everette
and Myrtle Lane Blankenbeckler.
She had made her home in Erie, Pa., before returning to live with her
sister, Mrs. Henry Wampler, in Weber City, Va.
Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam
Ross; one sister, Vera Smyklo; four brothers, Charlie, Ralph, Clarence
and Clyde Blankenbeckler.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Leon (Gaynell) Owens, Kingsport,
Mrs. S.J. (Shirley) Addington, Defiance, Ohio, and Mrs. Henry (Annie)
Wampler, Weber City, Va.; special caregiver and cousin, Helen
McConnell; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Gate City Funeral
Home.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday inthe Gene Falin
Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Buford
Blankenbeckler and Brother Danny Grizzle officiating.
Music will be provided by Paula Smith.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holston
View Cemetery, Weber City, Va.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be meeting at 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home to go in
procession to the cemetery.
