Her name may have been Nicholas or Nickels?

According to 1920 census (I found their son, Robt. Davis) she was born
in
Kentucky

according to 1920 census (I looked for his son Robt. Davis), Mr. Davis
was born in Kentucky
Much of my information on dates is from the 1880 census with John
Davis
as head of household. Living in Pulaski Co., Volume 25, ED 88, Sheet
3,
Line 37.
Also, according to the 1880 census, there were two non-relatives
living
with them at the time. They were: Mariam Morrow, white male, age 14,
born in KY, listed as a boarder; and, Elizabeth Canady, white female,
age
23, born in KY, listed as a servant.
In 1870 census, their is listed a Miram , age 1. The census does not
show a last name other than Davis, but I believe this to be the Mariam
Morrow listed as a boarder in the 1880 census. Apparently, the Davis'
family raised her.
1870 census lists John as a farmer with real estate value at $1000.00
and
personal property value of $879

Cynthia (Barnett) Taylor from Tatesville, KY (Pulaski Co.) is listed
as a
pensioner as a widow. I have sent for the pension papers. Her
monthly
stipend was $8.00.
The pension papers for restoration of pension filed in 1902 saysshe
lived in Sloans (I think, bad writing) Valley, Pulaski Co., KY at that
time.
