Mary Ruth Davidson

FT. BLACKMORE, Va. - Mary Ruth Lane, 69, went to be with the Lord
Thursday (Sept. 11, 2003) at her residence with her family and friends
by her side.
Born in Scott County, Va. July 5, 1934, she was the daughter of the
late James Cridton and MaryKate Frazier Davidson.
Mrs. Lane attended Peters Chapel Church.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. Mary was a friend to all who
knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Charlie Edward Lane in 1992; two infant sisters, Thelma Lucille
Davidson and Edith ElizabethDavidson.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Edward and wife
Sandy, Jeffery David and wife Kathy, and Randall Steven and wife
Connie Lane, all of Ft. Blackmore, Va.; five daughters and
sons-in-law, Mrs. James (Rita) Sizemore, Ft. Blackmore, Va.. Mrs.
Terry (Brenda) Gilliam, Duffield, Va.,Mrs. Bobby (Patsy) Sizemore,
Gate City, Va., Mrs. Fred (Cathy) Walker, Ft. Blackmore, Va., and
Tammy Lane, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; two sisters, Reba Lane, Ft. Blackmore,
Va. and Catherine Frazier, Kingsport; half-brother, Donald Eugene
Stewart; grandchildren, Christa Lane, Samuel Gilliam, Roy Gilliam,
Robertand wife Jessica Sizemore, and Pamela DeRossett; two
great-grandchildren, Madison DeRossett and India Sheppard; special
friends, Gertrude Dockery and Gracie Lane.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Gate City Funeral Home and
anytime at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday inthe Gene Falin Memorial
Chapel of the funeral with Rev. George Willis, Evangelist Garry Hood
and Rev. Sonny Starnes officiating.
Music will be provided by James McConnell.
Pallbearers will be Junior Lane, Johnny Kimbler, J.C. Frazier, Ricky
Peak, Jr., Brandon McConnell, Jason Perry and James Pierson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Burin Lane, Charles Lawson, Bill Lane,
Fred Lane, James Lane and Gerald Frazier
Graveside services will follow in the Lane Family Cemetery, Ft.
Blackmore, Va.

FT. BLACKMORE,Va. - Ezra Eugene "Gene" Lane, 74, entered into rest
Sunday (Oct. 19, 2003) at his residence.
Mr. Lane was born in Scott County, Va., on Dec. 24, 1928 andwas the
son of the late Hop and Lakie Harris Lane. He was retired from the
U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son,Joseph
Lane; sister, Rosie Lane; brothers, Leonard and Ray Lane; and a
half-sister, Myrtle Lane.
Surviving are his wife, Irmgard A. Lane, Ft. Washington, Md.;
daughters and sons-in-law, Erika and Ken McKenzie, Ft. Sumpter, S.C.,
Susan and Larry Filion, Goldsboro, N.C.; sons and daughters-in-law,
Eric and Kay Lane, of Georgia, Charles Lane, Upper Marlboro, Md.,
Richard and Marlene Lane, New Orleans, La., Robert Lane, Ft.
Washington, Md., and Stephen and Jessica Lane, of California; five
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;sister, Kathleen
Williams, Gate City, Va.; and brothers, Robert Lane, Ft. Blackmore,
Va.; half-brother, Henry Quillen, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; and several
nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Gate City Funeral Home,
Inc.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Gene FalinMemorial
Chapel with the Rev. Dale Wyrick officiating.
Military graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday at
the VA Mountain Home National Cemetery in Mountain Home, Tenn., by the
Charles DeWitt Byrd Post #3382 ofthe VFW.
The family will be meeting at the VA Mountain Home for the graveside
service.
