BRISTOL, Tenn. - Mrs. Pansy Lenora Gillenwater, 94, Bristol, Tenn.,
and formerly of Weber City, Va., entered into rest Friday (Nov. 19,
2004) at her residence.
Mrs. Gillenwater was born in Murray County, Minn., on Dec. 7, 1909, a
daughter of the late Henry J. and Fern Sellman Lamaack.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weber City, Va., where
she taught the Beginners Sunday School Class for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Aubrey Gillenwater in 1990; and brothers, Albert and Roy Lamaack.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Roscoe
Spears, Bristol, Tenn.; son, Roger LeeGillenwater, Pensacola, Fla.;
seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Molly Magnus,
Fulda, Minn., Edna Mielke, North Mankato, Minn., and Viola Bartz,
Albert Lea, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Gate
City Funeral Home and other times at the residence of her daughter.
Services will be conducted at7 p.m. Monday in the Gene Falin Memorial
Chapel of the funeral home with theRev. Paul Blessing and the Rev.
Clay Austin officiating.
Graveside serviceswill be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Holston
View Cemetery, Weber City, Va. The family will be meeting at the
funeral home at 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the graveside
service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be
made to the First Baptist Church of Weber City, P.O. Box 2155, Weber
City, VA 24290 or to the First Baptist Church of Blountville, P.O. Box
587, Blountville, TN 37617.

GATE CITY, Va. - Gertrude "Trudy" Gillenwater, 89, passed away Monday
(Nov. 29, 2004) at Indian Path Medical Center.
She was born in Scott County on June 29, 1915, the daughter of the
late K.M. and Pearl Quillen Lane. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Gillenwater was a member of Gate City United Methodist Church.
She was a loving wife, mother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Gillenwater in
1987; brothers, Herman Quillen Lane and Claude W. Lane. Surviving are
her daughter, Debra Gillenwater, Gate City; several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Gate City United
Methodist Church.
Services will be conducted at the church at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Dale
Wyrick officiating.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Holston View Cemetery.
The family will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. to go in
procession to the cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Hensley, Walter Cassell, Richard
Gillenwater, Sam Gillenwater, Terry Gillenwater, Terry Porter, Jerry
Palmer, Chris Bayer.
