KINGSPORT - Taylor "Junior" Thompson, 82, Kingsport, went to be with
the Lord Saturday (Jan. 3, 2004) at SunBridge Healthcare.
He was the son of the late Taylor and Theney Thompson. He was a native
of Virginia, but had lived most of his life in Kingsport.
He was of Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,
Frances Thompson; and one son, Jimmy Thompson.
He is survived by one daughter, Angelia and Ron Gilliam; two sons,
Denzil and Donna Thompson, and Charles and Teresa Thompson; three
grandchildren, Brian and Kevin Gilliam, and Adam Thompson; andone
brother, Holly Thompson, all of Kingsport.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Snyder's
Funeral Home, Gray.
Services will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Willie Neeley
officiating.
Singing will be VirgieHurd, Ruth Davis, and Charles Tiller.
Graveside services will be conducted at2 p.m. Tuesday at East Lawn
Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Mark Joyner,Jerry Joyner, Rob Joyner, Jeff
Joyner, Stan Cadle, and Fred Lord.
Honorarypallbearers are Bill Nuckles and Buddy Holly.
