KINGSPORT - Keener W. Ketron, 84, went to be withthe Lord Wednesday
(Oct. 18, 2000) at Holston Valley Medical Center after anextended
illness.
Mr. Ketron was born in Scott County, Va., and had lived in Kingsport
most of his life. He had served as choir director for Morrison City
Mission for many years. He had been active as a singer for several
localgospel quartets in the area.
Mr. Ketron retired from the yarn development department of Eastman
Chemical after 44 years of service. He was a loving husband, father,
and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliverand Georgia McClellan
Ketron; and brothers, Claude and Ernie Ketron.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Alma Gobble Ketron; daughter and
son-in-law, Linda and Otis R. Dorton, Mount Carmel; grandchildren and
spouses, Mark and Kristi Dorton, Kingsport, Marla and Buddy Morrison
Jr., Church Hill, Lisa and David Castle, Kingsport, Kevin R. Dorton,
Linwood, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Scott Dorton, Phillip Dorton,
Gregory Dorton, Hagen Castle, and Grant Castle; sisters and
brothers-in-law, Kathleen and Lawrence Ramey, Lois and Roy McClain,
all of Kingsport; half-sister and husband, Shirley and Haskel Barrett,
Rock Island, Ill.; half-brothers and wives, Robert and Debbie Ketron,
Oliver and Jan Ketron Jr., all of Rock Island, Ill.; and several
nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Holston View
Cemetery.

KINGSPORT - Terri Jean McClellan, 41, went home to be with her
heavenly family on Tuesday (Nov. 25, 2003) after a brief illness.
Terri was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. She
was a loving daughter, sister, andaunt.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry "Cotton" McClellan; one
sister, Sharon Lee McClellan Absher; maternal grandparents, John E.
and Helen Grimes; and paternal grandparents, Henry and Lillian
McClellan.
Survivingare her mother, Juanita (Nitsie) McClellan, of the home;
three sisters, DonnaMcClellan and husband Allen, twin sister, Tarra
Crawford and husband Tim, Shelia Aistrop and husband Rusty, all of
Kingsport; two brothers, Bo McClellanand Sean McClellan, both of
Kingsport; one special cousin, Louella Daniels; uncles and aunts,
Bobby and Janice McClellan, Kingsport, Butch and Connie Brayand Pete
and Sally Grimes of North Carolina; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth,
Becky and Henry Absher, B.J., Eric, and Heath McClellan, Allen Jr.,
Adam, Emma, and Anna McClellan, T.C., Sharon and Sarah Crawford, John

LEESBURG, Va. - Albert Bennie ``Ben'' McClellan Sr., 69, 22469 Watson
Road, died Friday (July 7, 2000) at his residence.
Born in Green County, Tenn. on Jan. 4, 1931, son of the late Henry
DarrellMcClellan Sr. and Lillian Cordelia McClellan.
He was a craftsman and was wellknown for his carpentry skills and did
work for many people. He was a memberof Berryville Moose Lodge and
was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel M. McClellan, Leesburg, Va.; daughter,
Cathy L. Hall, Shannondale, W.Va.; sons, Bennie McClellan Jr.,
Berryville, Va., David L. McClellan and Walter E. McClellan, both of
Leesburg, Va.; brothers, Bobby C. McClellan and Roy W. McClellan, both
of Kingsport; granddaughters, DaisyMay Hall and Wendy Hall Long, both
of Kingsport; grandsons, Bennie Alan McClellan, Matthew Adam
McClellan, both of Kingsport; great-grandson, Bennie AlanMcClellan
Jr., Kingsport; special friend, Shirley Church Sindelar, Kingsport.
Services will be held tpday at 7 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home in
Leesburg, Va.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Va.

KINGSPORT - Charles Robert Hamilton, 74, went to be with the Lord on
Tuesday morning (March 20, 2001) at Holston Valley MedicalCenter.
He was born in Scott County, Va., and had lived in Kingsport since
1955. He was a son of the late Grover Cleveland (Chee) Hamilton and
Rosa Rebecca Necessary Hamilton.
He retired in 1986 from the Acetate Yarn Division of Tennessee Eastman
Company after 41 year's of service. In his retirement, he enjoyed
woodworking, gardening, and playing with his grandchildren. He was a
loving and faithful husband, father, and grandfather.
He was a veteran of theU.S. Army, serving with the Special Training
Unit.
Mr. Hamilton was a memberof the Pentecostal Powerhouse Church in Gate
City, Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters,
Virginia Ada Hamilton, Delilah Neeley, Roxie Neeley, Reba King,
Kathleen Bishop, and Ona Neely; and a brother, Elmer Hamilton.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Juanita Hamilton, ofthe home; one
son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Jean Hamilton, Kingsport; two
daughters, Linda Rose, Kingsport, and Mary Quinn and husband, Brian,
Chapel Hill, N.C.; four grandchildren, Melody Rose, Rachel and Steven
Hamilton,all of Kingsport, and Heather Hensley, Chapel Hill, N.C.;
four sisters, ElsieBrown, Greenwood, Ind., Mrs. Herman (Mollie)
Worley, Bristol, Va., Mrs. Sonny (Ann) Wolford, Blountville, and
Gracie Statzer, Lebanon, Va.; and lots of loving nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at EastLawn Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home
with Pastor Dwayn Williams and Brother Earl Cookenhour officiating.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the East Lawn Memorial
Park in the Garden of the Well.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Pentecostal
Powerhouse Church,or to the charity of oneus choice.
