1874. He was thought to have been 93 when he died, but may have been
86 instead.

went to be with her Lord Monday (March 15, 2004) at Wellmont Holston
Valley Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Lee County, Va., and a member of the
Robinette Chapel Church in Big Stone Gap.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Raymond Lane; her
parents, Sam andIbba Catherine (Fields) Manious; four sisters, Mrs.
Ezra Hick (Pearl) Ford, Mrs. F.M. (Stella) Large, Mrs. Jennings (Nora)
Thomas and Mrs. Bruce (Ada) Mainous; two brothers, Lucian Mainous and
Lester Mainous; two step-brothers, Rev. Howard Todd and Rev. Gene
Todd; and one step-sister, Mrs. George (Betty) Kerns.
Surviving are a special niece, Roger Ann Coleman Ford and husband,
Henry Randall Ford of Kingsport; and other nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Holding Funeral Home,
Big Stone Gap, Va.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home
chapel with the Rev. Don Childress officiating.
Committal services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the Lane
Cemetery, Wildcat Valley, Big Stone Gap, Va. Family and friends will
meet at the cemetery.
