for several years and in Blountville for 18 yrs. He was employed as a
technical manager for EVTECH, a branch of Eastman. He had been

KNOXVILLE - In God's appointed time on Saturday (Feb. 8, 2003), Warren
TaylorForbes was called home to be with the Lord at St. Mary's
Residential Hospicefacility after a recent cancer diagnosis.
Mr. Forbes was preceded in death byhis first wife, Grace Roberts
Forbes; his parents, William and Kate Forbes;his brothers, Gus
Forbes, William H. Forbes Jr., Raymond Forbes; and a son-in-law, David
E. Cloud.
Surviving are his second wife, Maxine Hood Barnes Forbes; son and
daughter-in-law, Philip and Teresa Barnes of Knoxville; daughterand
son-in-law, Ann and Michael Bales of Knoxville; and daughter, Marcia
Cloud of Wartburg, Tenn.; three grandsons, Joshua Bales at school at
UT-Chattanooga, Caleb Bales at school at Christian Academy of
Knoxville, and Christopher Barnes at Cedar Springs Mother's Day Out.
He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James and Mary
Alice Forbes of McSherrytown, Pa.; brother, Donald Forbes; and sister
and brother-in-law, Francis and Harold Gingrichof York, Pa.; and a
special nephew, Norman Roberts of Kingsport; and a host of other
nephews and nieces and lifelong friends.
A memorial service and visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today at
Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church in Knoxville with the Rev. Vern
Holstead and the Rev. Henry Lenoir officiating.
A brief service and greeting of the family will be held at 11 a.m.
Tuesday atHamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, with the
Rev. Henry Lenoirofficiating.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, thefamily requests that memorials be made to
Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church,St. Mary's Residential Hospice, or
the American Cancer Society.
