KINGSPORT - Nellie Kate Greer Fletcher, 79, went home to be with her
Lord Thursday (Oct. 31, 2002) at the Wexford House after an extended
illness.
Nelliewas born Sept. 18, 1923 in Kingsport and was a daughter of the
late Cliffordand Pearl (Spears) Greer. Nellie was a Christian and
attended many churchesin the area. She was married to the late Edgar
Fletcher Sr.
In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, Wallace Greer and
sister, June Smith and avery special friend Annabelle Harold,
preceded her in death.
Nellie was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She loved
quilting, flowers and people.
Surviving are her loving family: a daughter, Nancy Fletcher Whitten of
Kingsport; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Carol Fletcher
of Kingsport, John Fletcher, Louis and Marie Fletcher, all of Georgia,
Scott and Linda Fletcher of Kentucky; eight grandchildren; 12
great-grandchildren; one sister,Charlene Castle of Kingston, Tenn.;
two brothers, Eugene (Buddy) Greer and wife, Dexal of Kingsport and
the Rev. Andrew Greer and wife, Georgia, of Jonesborough; several
nieces and nephews and a host of friends; very special friends, Ruby
Simerly, Martha and Danny Jones and family, and Frances Herron.
Calling hours are from 1 to 2 p.m. today at East Lawn Funeral Home and
anytime atthe home of her daughter, Nancy.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel.
Graveside and burial will follow in the garden of the Good Shepherd of
the East Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be familyand friends.

CLINCHPORT, Va. - Ray Tipton Jr., 83, died Friday(Nov. 21, 2003) at
Indian Path Hospital in Kingsport.
He was born in ScottCounty, Va., on April 17, 1920. Mr. Tipton
retired from Tennessee Eastman Company. He was a veteran of World War
II serving with the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Tipton Sr.; and mother,
Sally Edwards Tipton.
Surviving are a son, D.W. and wife Joyce Tipton, Clinchport; two
granddaughters, Angie and husband Brad Davenport, and Leah and husband
David Culbertson; great-grandchildren, Jace Davenport, Shea Culbertson
and Clay Culbertson; stepgreat-grandchildren, Megan Gardner, Paige
Gardner, Alexis Short and Emily Short; one sister, Geneva Brickey,
Gate City, Va.; and several nieces andnephews.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home,
Weber City, Va.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the funeral homechapel
with the Rev. Jimmy Combs officiating.

WEBER CITY, Va.Warner Everette Brickey, 80, entered into rest Sunday
(Sept. 8, 2002) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 24, 1922 in Scott County, Va. to the late Everette
Sylvester Brickey and Emily Elizabeth Craft Brickey Webb.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother,
Robert C. Brickey.
Mr. Brickey was in the Army and served in World War II being
discharged in 1945.
He retired after working 37 years at Eastman ChemicalCo.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Geneva Tipton Brickey, Weber
City, Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Rita (Michael) Ramey, Gate
City, Va.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Warner R. (Nina) Brickey,
Weber City, Va., Michael K. (Debby) Brickey and Roger L. (Beverly)
Brickey, all of Gate City, Va.; one sister and brother-in-law, Jewel
(William) E. Jones, Gate City, Va.; one brother and sister-in-law,
Willie M. "Mack" (Vinada) Brickey, Weber City,Va.; grandchildren,
Sheila L. Quillen, Stephanie M. Starnes, Holly Brickey, Brooke

CLINCHPORT, Va. - Fred Albert "Alb" Raby, 78, entered into rest
Tuesday (Feb. 25, 2003) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
He was born in Keokee, Va., on May 11, 1924 to the late Matt and Mary
Collins Raby.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers,
Smith Raby, Clayton Raby; nephew, Bob Raby; granddaughter, Karen Raby;
beloved daughter, Frieda Raby Dockery.
Heretired from CE Division of Tennessee Eastman and was a veteran of
U.S. Navyand served in World War II.
He was a volunteer coach at Rye Cove High Schoolfor several years
until declining health forced him to retire.
Mr. Raby faithfully attended Rye Cove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife,Willie Mae Edwards Raby, of the home; son
and daughter-in-law, Jack and Melissa Raby, Carters Valley; grandsons
and wives, Greg and Vanessa Dockery, Weaverville, N.C., Kevin and
Callie Dockery, Weaverville, N.C., Keith and ChristyDockery,
Duffield, Va., Trevor Hardy, Carters Valley; granddaughters, Sacha and
Chandra Raby, Orlando, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Brandon,
