SCOTT COUNTY, Va. - Martha Ann Tipton Haynes, Route 3, Box 235,
Bristol, Va., died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday (March 13, 2004) at Wellmont
Hospice House, Bristol, Tenn.
Born in Scott County,Va., she graduated from Gate City High School.
She was employed by Food Cityas head cashier for over 15 years.
She was a member of Bonhams Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Tipton.
Survivors include her husband, Richard "Dick" Haynes, of the home; one
daughter, Elizabeth Fleenor and husband Curtis of Bristol, Va.;
special daughters, Iva Dell Haynes, Kingsport, and Sarah Riggins,
Piney Flats; stepson, Rick Haynes, Charlotte, N.C.; two grandchildren,
Brian Fleenor and Ian Riggins; mother, Elizabeth Hammonds Tipton, Gate
City, Va.; two sisters, Marlene Davidson and Phyllis Combs, both of
Gate City, Va.; two brothers, John Gary Tipton, Kingsport, Bobby
Tipton, Gate City, Va.; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Carter-Trent Funeral
Home, downtown Kingsport.
Serviceswill be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home
chapel with the Rev.Jeff Keen, the Rev. Jimmy Combs and the Rev.
Aaron McMillan officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Oak Hill
Memorial Park.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Weber City, Va., and anytimeat the residence of a niece, Donna
Davidson, 108 Unaka Street, Mount Carmel.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the chapel of the
funeral homewith the Rev. Jimmy Combs and the Rev. Aaron Edens
officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Tipton Family
Cemetery.
The family will meet at the funeral home at 12 noon Monday.

her Lordearly Thursday morning (Dec. 14, 2000) at Holston Valley
Medical Center.
Shewas a lifelong resident of Kingsport (Sullivan County) and was a
member of Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vance W. Vineyard and Edna
Roberts Vineyard.
Surviving are her husband, Donald Wayne Hammonds, of the home; one
daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Jerry (Kimberly) Lewis, Church Hill; one
son and daughter-in-law, Steve Hammonds and wife, Kelly, Kingsport;
five grandchildren, Nickelous Lee Lewis, Jerry Lee LewisJr., Jessee
LeeAnn Lewis and Austin Hammonds and Abbey Hammonds; two sisters,
Nancy Hood and Barbara Hawkins, both of Kingsport; one brother,
Charlie Vineyard, Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conductedat 11 a.m. today in the chapel of
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown, with Pastor Winston Sweeney
officiating.
Music will be provided by Tommy Browder.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen Hawkins, KeithHood, Scott Hood, Mark
Vineyard, Anthony Hammonds and Jerry Lewis.
