13875. Eric Thomas Lane

CHURCH HILL - Eric Thomas Lane, 18, of 600 River Road, went home to be
with the Lord Monday (May 13, 2002) at the Bristol Regional Hospital
and Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Eric was born March 2,1984 in Kingsport but had spent most of his
life in Church Hill. He was a senior at Volunteer High School and was
a member of the Indian Ridge Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two special aunts, Ruthie Lane and Mable
Lane.
Survivors include his aunt and uncle, Eddie and Debbie Arnold of the
home; his parents, Gary and Rachel Lane of Kingsport; one brother,
Nathan Laneof Kingsport; paternal grandparents, Doug and Virginia
Lane Bruner of ChurchHill; maternal grandparents, Irvin and Helen
Hutson of Kingsport; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his
girlfriend, Lahonna Charles; and special friends,Joe Simpson and Dee
Charles; and many more friends.
Calling hours are from5 to 8 p.m. today at the Johnson Funeral Home,
Church Hill, and anytime at the residence of Eddie and Debbie Arnold,
600 River Rd., Church Hill, and his parent's home, 1717 Lowell Dr.,
Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel
with the Rev. Larry Parrott, the Rev. Jerry Music and the Rev. Thad
Noto officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the
McPheeters Bend Cemetery.


6804. Edith Wallen

Lived at Kingsport in 1998.
Her name was Wallen from Peters records.
KINGSPORT - Edith Wallen Cox, 59, went to be with the Lord Thursday
(Feb. 22, 2001) at the Wellmont Hospice House after an extended
illness.
She was born in Scott County, Va. and had lived in Kingsport most of
her life. She worked for Kings Department Store for over eight years.
Mrs. Cox was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of Friendship Chapel Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Brian K. Cox (1982); and her
parents, Eliza Neal Lane Walden and William (Bill) H. Wallen.
Surviving are her husband, Claude E. Cox, of the home; a daughter and
son-in-law, Sheri and Larry Page, Kingsport; ason and
daughter-in-law, Chris and Kim Cox, Kingsport; grandchildren, Josh and
Jessica Page, and Makayla Cox; a step-grandson, Anthony Browder; a
sister, Mrs. Larry (Shirley) Crawford, Kingsport; brothers, the Rev.
Charles E. Wallen and wife, Elsie, and Danny Rhoten and wife, Sheila,
Mt. Carmel; step-father, James Walden, Kingsport; and a special
friend, Jerry Gott, Kingsport.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Funeral
Home, andanytime at the residence, 708 Norris Ave., Kingsport.
A private graveside service will be held Sunday at Oak Hill Cemetery
with the Rev. Joe Hill officiating.

Daniel M. Tech Sgt Royal

He died unexpectedly while stationed in Australia. He grad at Pacific
HS in Port Orford, OR, and received a BS degree from Emory Riddle
Aeronautical Univand was working for a master's degree. Surv were 2
ch who both attend Geo Washington Elem School in Kingsport and First
Bap Ch in Church Hill. No wife wasnamed. Friends were received at the
home of his children at 905 Lane Dr, Kingsport. (from his obituary)

Lived at Gate City in 1997.
GATE CITY, Va. - Danny Raymond France, 52, enteredinto rest Thursday
(Jan. 6, 2005) at the Wexford House.
He was born in Scott County, Va., on Dec. 15, 1952. Mr. France served
in the National Guard from1972-1977.
Survivors include his parents, Rev. Carl France and Dalphine France,
Gate City; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara and Billy Lane, Church
Hill, and Rita Spivey, Gate City; brothers and sister-in-law, Bobby
France, Gate City, Freddie and Brenda France, Kingsport; nephew, Bobby
France Jr. and wife, Kim; nieces, April and husband, Chris Williams
and Nicole Spivey; great-nieces and nephews, Kindall and Katie
Williams, Dewayne, Kandi and Shannon Lane.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Gate City
Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the Gene Falin Memorial
Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Robert Legg and Elder Jimmy Combs
officiating.
Music will be provided by The Tipton Family Singers.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday at Holston View
Cemetery, Weber City, Va. The family will meet at 10:15 a.m. at the
funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Sid France, Tony France, Larry Wallen, Darrell
Tipton, Henry Crawford and Bobby France Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Tipton, Ray Tipton, Wayne Hilton,
Steve Akers, Paul Jennings, Kent Lawson, Wayne Templeton, Lennis
France and Chris Williams.
