Billy Charles Page

CLIFTON FORK, Va. - Billy Charles Page, 64, Clifton Fork, Buchanan
County, Va., passed away suddenly late Sunday night (Feb. 23, 2003) at
Buchanan GeneralHospital.
He was a native of Scott County, Va., and was the son of the late Ples
and Alpha Morrell Page. He was a retired employee of the Virginia
Department of Transportation and a member of the Loggy Bottom
Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Frances Lorene Breedlove Page; one
brother, Mike Page of Lebanon, Va.; two daughters, Debbie Page of
Gray, and RobinPage of Johnson City; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Belfred
(Hope) Shortridge and Mrs. Jim (Janet) Ratliff, both of Oakwood, Va.;
three stepsons, Wayne Shortt of Raven, Va., Rodney Shortt and wife
Mary of Vansant, Va., and 1st Sgt. DaleShortt and wife Sherry of Fort
Bragg, N.C.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Buchanan Funeral Service
at Keen Mountain, Va.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesdayin the funeral home
chapel with Lawrence Horn, Rick Whitt and Troy Lester officiating.
Burial will be in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool
Hill, Va.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and close friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be David Lowe, Luther Bowman, Waldo Ward,
Arrie Keen, Buddy Fuller, Cleon Ward, Bobby Mullins, Gary Lee Keen,
Allen Ward, Virgil Hess, Teddy Addair, Berlin Viers, Larkin Charles,
Garland Shortridge, Calvin Keen, Burns Mullins, Doug Whitt, Frank
Blankenship, Ray Justice, Kenneth Byrd and Terry Keen.


7059. Eula Jean Vaughn

Lived at Gate City in 1999.
GATE CITY, Va. - Eula Jean Bishop Wells, 67, wenthome to be with the
Lord Thursday morning (Sept. 6, 2001) after a brief illness.
Born April 19, 1934 in Scott County, Va., she was a daughter of the
lateHarry and Blanche Lark Vaughn. In addition to her parents, she
was precededin death by her first husband, Ray Junior Bishop; a son,
Timothy Bishop; andtwo brothers, Jack and Harry Vaughn Jr.
Mrs. Wells was a member of the Hansonville Baptist Church and was an
employee of Hardee's for the last 15 years.
Surviving are her husband, Darrell Wells, Gate City, Va.; a daughter
and son-in-law, Donna Bishop and Bobby Farthing, Atlanta, Ga.; a son
and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Jane Bishop, Old Fort, N.C.; two
brothers, Donald Vaughn, Dungannon, Va., and Harley Vaughn, Deland,
Fla.; two grandchildren, Daniel and Adam Bishop; three
great-grandchildren, Dravin, Kirkland and Grayson Bishop; and several
nieces, nephews and many friends.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Gate City Funeral Home and
other times at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Gene Falin
Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Elder Jack Lyons and Elder
Bill Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, Va.
Family and friends willserve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Vaughn, Gary Perkinsand Robert
White.

Frank J. Gilliam

He lived all of his life in the Kingsport, TN, area. He was the owner
& operator of Gilliam Enterprises in Kingsport for many years.
Preceded in death by2 bros, 1 sis. Surv by wife of 54 yrs, 1 dau, 3
sons, 5 g-ch (Tony, Sara, Nicky, Stephanie, Tiffany), 2 g-g-sons.

L. B. Greer

Lived at Blountville in 1999.
BLOUNTVILLE - L.B. Greer, 68, went to be with the Lord Sunday (Nov.
24, 2002) after having fought a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Greer was born Jan. 13, 1934 in Sullivan County and had been a
resident of this area all of his life. He was of the Pentecostal
faith. Mr. Greer worked several years at Daniel Construction and
retired from Kingsport Ironand Metal. He was a loving husband,
father, grandfather and great-grandfather who had a great sense of
humor.
Mr. Greer was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Blanche Greer;
and a brother, John Wayne Greer.
Surviving arehis wife of 47 years, Margaret Greer; daughter, Sharon
Vaughn and husband Randy of Blountville; sons, Michael Greer of
Kingsport, Tony Greer and wife Libby of Kingsport, Greg Greer and wife
Connie of Blountville, Jeff Greer and wife Angela of Blountville; nine
grandchildren, Eric Vaughn, Amanda Yarber, Christy Cox, Lorissa and
Joshua Lawson, Alex and Jesse Greer, Justin and Avery Greer; one
great-grandson, Brandon Yarber, and another, Elijah Vaughn, expected
in April; sisters, Betty McMurray of Gate City, Dessie Ennis of Gate
City;brother, G.C. Greer of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Oak Hill Funeral Home, or
at the home of Sharonand Randy Vaughn, 303 Lester Road, Blountville,
any other time.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel
with Bishop Jack Forbes and the Rev. Layton Bentley officiating.
There will be a graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m.
Wednesday in Oak Hill Cemetery with family andfriends meeting at the
funeral home.

KINGSPORT - Emmett Ronnie Hammonds, 54, of Kingsport, went to be with
the Lord on Sunday (Jan. 16, 2005) following a brief illness.
He was born in Kingsport, where he spent most of his life. He was a
Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Ruby Virginia
Jones Hammonds.
Surviving are his daughters, Renee Hammonds and Tonya Hammonds;
several grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Greer, Betty Gillis and
husbandBob, Mary Graham, Linda Depew and husband Jerry, all of
Kingsport, and Barbara Hammonds, Abingdon, Va.; brothers, Wayne
Larkins and wife Judy, Kenneth Larkins and wife Cassie, Sherrill
Larkins and wife Sherry, all of Kingsport, James Larkins, Owensboro,
Ky., and Thomas Hammonds, Nashville; several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mountain
Home National Cemetery with military rites conducted by the American
Legion Hammond Post #3 and Gate City Post #265. Chaplain Joe W. Byrd
will officiate.
Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport, is in charge of
arrangements.
