Franklin Woodrow "Frank" Turner

GRAY - Franklin Woodrow Turner, 61, of Suncrest Street, departed this
life early Saturday morning (May 12, 2001) at the Life Care Center in
Elizabethton.
He was a native of Scott County, and was employed in production with
Miny Fibers of Boones Creek.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angie Gillenwater Turner;
daughter, Georgie Paulette Turner; andfather, Walter P. Turner.
Survivors include his daughters, Anna Ruth Kennedy,Talbott, Tenn.,
Loretta Lynn Haynes, Kingsport, Teresa Diana Miller, Blountville,
Betty Elaine Carter and Flora Mae Turner, both of Johnson City; one
son, Anthony Graig Turner, Unicoi; 13 grandchildren; one
great-grandchild; mother, Minnie Phillips Turner, Johnson City;
sisters, Barbara Ann Dingus, Hiltons, Va., Bonnie Sluder, Piney Flats,
Brenda Sue Nave and Betty Pauline Williams, both of Johnson City;
brothers, Roy Claibourn Turner, Elizabethton, and Virgil Turner,
Johnson City; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the Scott County Funeral
Home, Weber City, Va.
Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Lane Cemetery,
Midway community, Gate City, Va., with the Rev. Bill Greer
officiating.
Burial will follow in the Lane Cemetery.
Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 1 p.m. to go to
the cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.


7317. Bobbie Jean Gillenwater

Lives in Ridgecrest Nursing Home, Kingsport, in 1992.
GATE CITY, Va. - BobbieJean Gillenwater, 73, entered into rest
Saturday (May 15, 2004) at the BrianCenter in Weber City, Va.
Ms. Gillenwater was born in Scott County, Va., on May 3, 1931, to Jake
and Monnie Gillenwater.
She was preceded in death by herfather, Jake Gillenwater in January
1992; an infant daughter; a sister, RosaMae Gillenwater; and brother,
Robert Gillenwater.
Survivors include her mother, Monnie Lane Gillenwater, Gate City;
three sisters, Mrs. Coy (Shirley) Butler, Kingsport, Mrs. Lonnie (Mary
Ann ) Gray, Cicero Ill., Mrs. Ralph ( Juanita ) Egan, Gate City; six
brothers, Howard and Glanelle Gillenwater, Gate City, Charles
Gillenwater, Gate City, Rev. Edward and Iris Gillenwater, Berwyn,
Ill., Virgil and Maria Gillenwater, Killeen, Texas, Gerald and Delilah
Gillenwater, Kingsport, Tommy and Janice Gillenwater, Gate City;
several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. today atthe Gate City Funeral Home
and other times at the mother's residence.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Gene Falin Memorial
Chapel of the funeral home by the Rev. Edward Gillenwater, the Rev.
Coy Butler and the Rev. George Willis.
Pine Grove Harmony and Been 4 Given Quartet will provide themusic.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Brickey
Cemetery in Ft. Blackmore, Va. The family will be meeting at 10:00
a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the graveside
service.
Marvin Egan, Wesley Egan, Vance Egan, Jason Butler, Samuel
Gillenwater, Daniel Gillenwater and Chad Gillenwater will serve as
pallbearers.
Ray Gillenwater,Rick Bishop, Michael Gillenwater, Jamie Austin, Brian
Griffin, John Senter, Worley Lane, Shawn Ketron and Derrick Ketron
will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Steve Adkins and
thestaff of the Brian Center for their loving care.
