7677. Troy Lane Sparks

Lived in Richlands, VA in 2003.
RICHLANDS, Va. - Mr. Troy Lane Sparks Sr., 49,died Thursday (Dec. 18,
2003) at a Richlands, Va. hospital.
He was born inRichlands and was a son of the late Ernest E. and
Myrtle Lane Sparks, both Tazewell County, Virginia natives. He was a
life long resident of the Cedar Bluff and Richlands areas and was a
1973 graduate of Richlands High School.
Hewas previously employed with Rex Sparks Produce and Mining Machine
Parts andat the time of his death was co-owner of Ket, Inc. at
Oakwood, Va.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother,
Carlos "Corky" Sparks.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Mrs. Peggy Ann Martin Sparks; son,
Troy Lane "T.J." Sparks, Jr. of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Martha
"Polly" Coleman and husband, J.R. of Tazewell, Va., Mrs. Teresa Hess
and husband, Rustyof Cedar Bluff, Va.; six brothers, Mr. Ernest
Sparks, Jr. and wife, Jeanie ofCrane, Texas, Mr. Clyde Sparks and
Millie of Cedar Bluff, Va., Lt. Col. Robert "Bobby" Sparks and wife,
Donna of Gate City, Va., twin brother, Mr. Roy Sparks and wife, Judy
of Doran, Va., Mr. Danny Sparks and wife, Connie of CedarBluff, Va.,
and Mr. Ricky Sparks and wife, Annette of Cedar Bluff, Va.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in
Richlands.
Services will be conducted Sunday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel
withthe Rev. Barry Absher officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hankins Cemetery in Richlands.
Pallbearers will be Steve Clevinger, Dee Hibbitts, Eddie Royal, Sonny
Tiller, Ernest Gross, Terry Dean, Dave Beavers, and Jackie Mullins.
