7812. Tommy Douglas Martin

Lived at Mt Carmel, TN in 1997.
KINGSPORT - Tommy Douglas Martin, of 1912 Granby Road, died Monday
(Dec. 16, 2002) in Norton, Va.
He was an avid sportsmanand a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was
retired from Tennessee EastmanChemical Co. as a truck driver.
He was of the Baptist faith.
He was precededin death by his parents, Charlie Sylvester Martin and
Edna Ruby Brickey Martin; brother, James "Jim" Martin.
Survivors include the mother of his children,Deborah Arp; sons and
daughter-in-law, Kenneth Douglas Martin and fiancée Sandra Johnson,
both of Kingsport, Keith Anthony Martin and wife Heather, Colonial
Heights; three grandchildren, Austin, Caitlyn and Candace Martin;
sisters, Ruby Ball and husband Todd, Chambersburg, Pa., Brenda Larkins
and husbandJames, Kingsport, and Teresa Bowen and husband Ricky,
Church Hill; brother,Leonard Martin and wife Tammy, Kingsport;
several nieces and nephews; specialfriend, Paige Farris, Kingsport.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. todayat Carter-Trent Funeral
Home, downtown Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel
with Pastor Larry Morelock and the Rev. Wrightly Salling officiating.
Military graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at
Holston View Cemetery by American Legion Hammond Post No. 3 with the
Rev. Joe. W. Byrd, chaplain, officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
