KINGSPORT - Clyde Edward McDavid, 67, 1457 Ridgecrest Drive, passed
away Sunday (Nov. 18, 2001) at the James H. Quillen DVAMC, Mountain
Home, Tenn.
Born on Oct. 7, 1934, he was a native of the Daniel Boone community in
Scott County, Va. He was a son of the late Clyde and Janie Byrd
McDavid. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country from
1953 to Dec. 9, 1955.
Mr. McDavid was a retired automobile body and fender repairman and
painter of the area car dealerships.
Surviving are three sons, Tony McDavid, Kingsport, Tim McDavid, Ogden,
Utah, and Danny McDavid, Duffield, Va.; fivegrandchildren, Clint and
Colton McDavid, Kingsport, Breanna and Lorin McDavid, Ogden, Utah, and
Emily McDavid, Duffield, Va.; one brother, Alfred McDavid, Myrtle
Beach, S.C.; one niece and one nephew.
The family will hold a private memorial service for Clyde Edward
McDavid.
