2003) at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, Tenn.
Shewas born in Scott County, Va., the daughter of the late Joseph and
Maggie (Williams) Rhoton. She was a member of First Christian Church,
Big Stone Gap, Va.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Frank Lane; one son, Glenn Lane
and wife Garenale, of Big Stone Gap, Va.; one grandson, Joseph Lane of
Big Stone Gap, Va.; one granddaughter, Julie Gamble of Big Stone Gap,
Va.; two great-granddaughters, Casey and Samantha Gamble; two sisters,
Rose Wampler of Duffield, Va., and Maezella Rhoton of Clinchport, Va.;
and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Holding
Funeral Home, Big Stone Gap, Va., with the Rev. Bill Hughes
officiating.
Burialwill follow at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, Va.
Pallbearers will be Joe Lane, Leon Lane, Leonard Rhoton, Danny Rhoton,
Charlie Rhoton, Brent Hughes, B.J. Hughes and Steve Hughes.

KINGSPORT - Mary Greene, 67, Kingsport, passed away Thursday (Jan. 1,
2004) after an extended illness.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and
friend to all who knew her.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Cora and Charlie Stacy; a
granddaughter, Samantha RobinLane Olterman; and her brother, Ralph
Stacy.
Surviving are her husband, Lester Greene; four sons, Charles Stacy and
wife, Elizabeth, Sanford Lane, Rogersville, Pat Lane and wife, Diane,
Kingsport, Scott Lane, Kingsport; four grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Callinghours are from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral
Homes, downtown Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel
with Brother Cecil Fleming, Pastor J.W. Depew, and the Rev. James
Galliher officiating.
Burial will follow at the Horton Cemetery in Fairview, Va.

Gragg and Frank Wells.

CLINCHPORT, Va. - Lona Mae Lane, 72, passed away Wednesday (Aug. 9,
2000) at the home of her daughter in Duffield, Va.
She was a lifelong resident of Lee and Scott Counties, and the
daughter of the late Anderson and Goldie Smith Osborne.
She was retired from NorrisIndustries and was a member of Flower Gap
Primitive Baptist Church, but attended Red Hill Memorial.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jason Lee Brotherton
and Justin Lee Falin; four brothers, William J. Osborne, Owen Osborne,
Jim Osborne and John Osborne.
Surviving are two daughters, Judy LeeJohnson and husband, Charles,
Duffield, Va., and Anita Sue Lane, Church Hill;one son, Stephen Lane
and wife, Linda, Gate City, Va.; five grandchildren, Jennifer Ann
Lane, Melissa Sue Lane, Cynthia Diane Falin, Brandon Scott Falinand
Charles OuBrian Johnson II; two sisters, Callie Hurd and Vertie
Lawson,both of Blackwater, Va.; two brothers, Earl E. Osborne,
Nashville and ClaudeOsborne, Indiana.

Blackwater, Va.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of the
funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Neeley and the Rev. MarlinSloan
