BLOUNTVILLE - Thelma D. Peters, 87, of 2634Highway 11W, went to be
with the Lord on Tuesday (Sept. 7, 2004) in the Bristol Nursing Home.
Born Jan. 14, 1917 in Mineral Bluff, Ga., Mrs. Peters had spent most
of her life in the Kingsport and Blountville area.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sally Paris Dockery and
the widow of Willie T. Peters.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the Freedom Worship Center in
Blountville.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca M. Edwards; one son, Randy
Peters and his wife Mary; grandchildren, Rhonda Wells and her husband,
Willie, Robert L. Davenport, Barbara Scott, Rick Edwards, Scott
Edwards, Linda Castle, Tony Edwards, Lisa Kendrick and Rocky Ramos;
three sisters Georgia Williams, Beatrice Clements, Vergie Williams;
four brothers, Mack Dockery, BuddyDockery, Harris Dockery and Howard
Dockery. Also surviving are several great-grandchildren,
great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hoursare from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Weaver Funeral Home.
Services will be conductedat 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home
chapel with Rev. Smith Kestner officiating.
Burial will follow in the Gunnings Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Davenport, Brandon Blair, Josh Blair, Chris
Snapp, Dave Laney and Roger Castle.
