Scott Co Marriage Book 4-70-4 to Ruth Lane. Birthplace as Scott Co,

Froma journal kept by Andy Auge, an English Professor at Loras
College, Dubuque,Iowa referenced in a letter to Bruce James Arnold.
... Henry and Cecil Arnold are an elderly couple; he's 89 and she's a
bit younger. Henry is a remarkable man. His mind is sharp and acute,
and his entire bearing conveys an attitude of gentle, unself-conscious
dignity. He has sharp angular features andan easy smile... Henry, as
I have discovered, is the son of a sharecroper from Applachia. He is,
as he puts it, a fifth grade drop out, who worked primarly as a kind
of industrial boiler man... He has also read widely and thought
deeply...(from James S. Brown, 1997)
