TAZEWELL, Va. - Rosa Fletcher Crockett Lane, 82, died Friday (Feb. 15,
2002) at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Va.
Born December 21, 1919 in Russell County,Va., she was a daughter of
the late Charles Walter and America Powers Fletcher. She attended the
Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first
husband, John Henry Crockett; and her second husband, Thomas Dow Lane.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Crockett and wife Sherry, Frederick,
Md.; three daughters, Ruby I. Gates and husband Frank, and FredaJ.
Harr, all of Frederick, Md., and Charlotte C. Rasnick and husband
Samuel, Midlothian, Va.; two stepchildren, Phillip Lane, Knoxville,
and Jean LanePerry, Johnson City; four brothers, James B. Fletcher
and Charles W. Fletcher, both of Roanoke, Va., Delbert V. Fletcher,
Tazewell, Va., and Carlos H. Fletcher, Virginia Beach, Va.; two
sisters, Wanda Meade, Tazewell, Va., and MarySue Walker, Martinsburg,
W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and 17
great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Peery& St. Clair Funeral
Home, Tazewell, Va.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home
chapel with the Rev. Al Horton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Va.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.

American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

I found it interesting in the 1930 LETCHER CO.,KY. CENSUS that C.W.
Noles and wife, Maude, were living with their four children, yet they
are divorced.
And,next door is W.W. Noles with his wife, Loudema, and several
children. I am guessing because W.W. is 35 and C.W. is 40 and they are
both born in Virginia they are perhaps brothers.
The thing that is really strange is when Cicero dies, his wife is a
Loudema!
Kathy was thrilled to even find this much; it will probably take a
trip to Jenkins this summer and see if I can squirrel out some goodies
for her.
She did say her UncleKenneth had been married several times; two
times to the same lady!
For your records, Cicero had a son, Edgar Noles, 1923, Virginia, who
married NannieDingus.
Their daughter, Kathy Noles married Ralph Musick; they live in East
Carter's Valley.
