1080. John Bouty "Frog" Lane

Wife on basis of Cemetery Records and age in 1900 census.
Children and wife'sname from obit of J.B. Lane, Jr.
The John B. Lane in DeKalb Dist, 1920 Scott Co census was the son of
Samuel, and John B. was married to Margarett, with 3children not
mentioned in J.B. Jr's obit (James may be Jimmy). It is possiblethat
this John B. is the same as the one in the census, and the son of
Samuel V. The marriage to Hannah was a second marriage for him since
their agesdiffer by 18 yrs. The major problem is why Cloie and Dora
were not mentionedin J.B. Jr's obit [they died young - apparently
before 1930 because they werenot in the 1930 census].
1920 Scott Co census (DeKalb).
Speculated as son ofSamuel & Sarah Kinsler because Samuel lived near
him, and Samuel had a son John B. of the same age. He also may be the
same John B. who married Hannah Branham. Margaret's last name from
James' marriage record.
The family was confirmed by the information in James Ira Lane's obit.
He gave his stepmother asHannah Lane. His marriage record said he was
son of John Lane & Margaret Lane. His obit gave half bros and half sis
that matched other info. Some additional half bro & sis added from his
obit.
Scott Co Birth Records, Loose pages,p. 103, Line 172. (as Body Lane
on 2/14/1890, parents Saml. V. & Sarah on onelist, but J.N. Adams was
unable to read the record for his list.) Birth date2/14/1889 from
cemetery records means that this is the same person. Middle name from
birth records.
Scott Co Census: 1930 (Dekalb #2-318, age 40, VVV, m-age 22; wife
Hannah, 23 KKK, m-age 18; 3 ch present (all Hannah's ch))
