FT. BLACKMORE, Va. - Otis "Dock'' Edward Kinkead, 74, entered into
rest Sunday (Oct. 6, 2002).
He was born in Scott County,Va. on March 14, 1928.
Mr. Kinkead was preceded in death by his mother, Lillie (Bill) Kinkead
Tipton; uncle and father figure, Willie Kinkead; and two
half-brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen Dockery Kinkead, Ft. Blackmore,
Va.; aunt and mother figure, Lovely Kinkead, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; one
son and daughter-in-law, Randall (Buck) and Kay Kinkead, Dungannon,
Va.; granddaughter, Amy Kinkead; special niece, Marie Lucas and
husband, Eugene and children, Tonya Adkins and Travis Lucas; three
sisters, Shirley Jordon, Kingsport, Myrtle Ramey, Ft. Blackmore, Va.,
and Bolene Hall, Weber City, Va.; three half-brothers, Junior, Kelly
and Willie Tipton.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8p.m. today in the Juanita S. Falin
Chapel of the Gate City Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Gene Falin
Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Raymond Hammond and Rev.
Herman Quillen officiating.
Music will be provided by the Junior Smith and the Family Tradition.
Burial will follow the service at the Sanders Cemetery, Starnes Bluff
area.
Pallbearers will be Jr. Dockery, Craig Carter, Wayne Hill, A.C. Hill
Jr., Jeff McDavid, Ronald Dockery and Glen Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be "Did''Ramey, Burin Lane, Bill Perry,
Henry Lawson, Kyle Horne and Ramie Hill.

FT.BLACKMORE, Va. - George "Lidge" Gibson, Jr. went to meet his Lord
and Savioron Wednesday (Dec. 5, 2001).
Born in Scott County, Va. on Dec. 1, 1932, he was the son of the late
George and Lorena Nickels Gibson.
He was well-known for his love and devotion to his family and was
always ready to help anyone inneed. He was a member and deacon of God
House Independent Church.
In addition to his parents, a sister, Pauline Masey and brother,
Eugene Gibson, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his loving wife, Kate Gibson, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; sons
and daughters-in-law, George and Carolyn Gibson, Gale and Trish Gibson
and Jeff and Cherylene Gibson, all of Ft. Blackmore, Va., and Jim and
TinaGibson, Gate City, Va.; nine grandchildren, Eddie Lee, Michael
Gibson, Tim Gibson and wife, Leslie, Jeffery Gibson, Josh Gibson,
Brittany Gibson, RichardPhipps, Cybil Phipps and Lindsey Gibson; one
great-grandchild, Timothy BlakeGibson; sisters, Phyllis Sluss,
Dungannon, Va., Kathleen Gillenwater, Clinchport, Va., Maxie Dockery,
Ft. Blackmore, Va., and Mary Adams, Kingsport; brothers, Ralph Gibson,
Gate City, Va., and Kyle Gibson, Nickelsville, Va.; several nieces and
nephews.
The family received friends Thursday and will also receive friends
today at the residence of George and Carolyn Gibson and from 6to 8
p.m. today at Gate City Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Gene Falin Memorial
Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev.Ray Akers, the Rev. Willie
Neeley and the Rev. Johnny Smith officiating.
The Hood Family will provide music.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday at the Gibson
Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, Va.
The family will be meeting at the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. to
go in procession to the graveside service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

GATE CITY, Va. - Maxie Lea Dockery, 65, entered into rest Monday
(Sept. 1, 2003) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Scott County, Va., Aug. 12, 1938 to the lateGeorge
and Rena Nickels Gibson.
Including her parents, she was preceded indeath by her sister,
Pauline Gibson Massie; two brothers, Eugene and George (Lidge), Jr.
Gibson.
Survivors include her husband, James Lonnie Dockery, Ft.Blackmore,
Va.; one daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Michael Taylor,
Nickelsville, Va.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Patsy
Dockery, Ft.Blackmore, Va., Sammy Dockery and fiancée, Cindy Parks,
Tommy and Teresa Dockery, all of Gate City, Va.; three sisters and
brothers-in-law, Kathleen Gillenwater, Clinchport, Va., Phyllis and
John Sluss, Dungannon, Va., and Mary and Austin Adams, Gate City, Va.;
two brothers and sister-in-law, Ralph Gibson,Gate City, Va., Kyle and
Annie Gibson, Nickelsville, Va.; grandchildren, J.R. Dockery and
Kourtney Leann Dockery; several nieces and nephews.

Chapel of the funeral homewith the Rev. Willie Neeley and the Rev.

Cemetery, Taylor Town, Mill Creek community. The family will meet at
10 a.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

KINGSPORT - Lee Emerson Poore, 47, passed away Sunday (Feb. 15, 2004)
at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Poore was born on Nov. 14, 1956 in Kingsport. He retired from the
City of Kingsport after 261/2 years as a small engine mechanic.
Mr. Poore was preceded in death by his father, Paul Poore.
Surviving are his wife, Dana Pierson Poore; his mother, Georgia Poore;
one son,Brandon Lee Poore; father and mother-in-law, Rufus and Mimia
Pierson; three sisters, Connie Faye Thomas and husband Gene, Cricket
Louise Poore and Jane Baldwin and husband Dewey, all of Kingsport;
three brothers, Virgil Poore and wife Mia, Paul Wayne Poore and
Richard Poore and wife Pamela, all of Kingsport; special friend, Rick
Harper; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by five
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donnie and Kathy Pierson of
Rogersville, Lee and Joan Pierson of Ft. Blackmore, Va., Gary and
Maggie Pierson of Kingsport, Eddie and Jackie Pierson of Church Hill,
and Teddy Pierson of Kingsport.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at OakHill
Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home
chapel with the Rev. Shannon Powers officiating.
David Easterling will be the soloist.
Graveside services will follow the services at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Ridings, Tim Thomas, Edward Wayne Poore and
Rick Harper.
