18727. Barbara Denise Ryan

She was a former resident of Scott Co, VA, and had lived at the
SouthwesternVa Training Center in Hillsville, VA, for the past 21
years. Preceded in death by an infant brother. Surv by parents, 1 bro,
2 nieces, several aunts, uncles and cousins. All grandparents and
gr-grandparents were named. (from her obituary)


11556. Ina Lou Sawyer

Lived at Ft Blackmore in 1996, 2000.
FT. BLACKMORE, Va. - Ina Lou Pike, 70, went to be with the Lord
Thursday (Aug. 21, 2003) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Scott County on May 1, 1933 and was the daughterof
the late Charles Boyd and Grace Mae Pendleton Sawyer. She was a
homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three
brothers and one sister.
Surviving are daughters and son-in-law, Jeri and Carl Kiser, Terrina
Ward, all of Ft. Blackmore, Va.; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and
Patricia Ward, Dungannon, Va., Jeff and Michelle Pike, Ft. Blackmore,
Va.; five grandchildren; sisters, Elsie Begley, Mt. Carmel,Nancy
Ryan, Weber City, Va., Alice McConnell, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; brother,
Tommy Sawyer, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home,
Weber City, Va., and anytime at the residence of a son, Jeff Pike.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m.today in the funeral home chapel
with the Rev. Keith McNew and the Rev. RoyLane officiating.
Music will be provided by the Sluss Family, April McNew andTimmy
Baldwin.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brickey
Cemetery, Ft. Blackmore, Va. The family will meet at the cemetery.
Wayne Green, James McConnell, Greg Hensley, Leslie Ryan, Travis
Sawyer, Duran Sawyer, Marvin (Bub) Sawyer, Tommy Sawyer Jr. and James
(Babe) Lawson will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are the grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions may be
made to the funeral home.

He lived at Ft Blackmore, VA, and had lived his entire life in Scott
Co. He was employed in construction by A.R. Coffee and Sons, and he

FT. BLACKMORE, Va. _ Mary Wilma Sawyer Brickey,52, died Saturday (May
20, 2000) at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Brickey was a lifelong resident of Scott County, Va., a homemaker
and amember of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents,Charles and Grace Pendleton
Sawyer; her first husband, Roy Edward Green; three brothers, Rufus,
Johnny and James Sawyer.
Surviving are her husband, Russell Brickey; three daughters, Charlene
Sue Darnell, Ft. Blackmore, Va., Darlene Lue McNew, Dungannon, Va.,
and Norma Jean Hensley, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; onestepdaughter, Sandra
Ann Smith, Johnson City; two sons, John Boyd Green, Horseshoe, N.C.,
and Edward Wayne Green, Dungannon, Va.; seven grandchildren; one
stepgranddaughter; four sisters, Ina Pike and Alice McConnell, both of
Ft. Blackmore, Va., Elsie Begley, Mount Carmel and Nancy Ryan, Weber
City, Va.;one brother, Tommy Allen Sawyer Sr., Ft. Blackmore, Va.;
and several niecesand nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home,
Weber City, Va. Friends may also call anytime at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home
chapel with the Rev. Steve McNew and the Rev. Keith McNew officiating.
Music will be by Dorothy Hicks and Toke Hensley.
Burial will be in the Carter Cemetery, Stony Creek community.
Family will serve as pallbearers.


Zelda Maurice McClure

She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, TN, and worked for ten
years at Holston Valley Medical Center in the lab as a phlebotomist.
Member of the Old Kpt Pres Ch. Surv by husband, a son and dau-in-law,
