NICKELSVILLE, Va. - William Walter (Jack) Johnson, 85, passed away
Monday (Feb. 10, 2003) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Scott County, Va. He worked for
the Rural Electrical Association and at Holston Defense until he
enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After receiving a medical discharge, he
farmed and worked as a custodian at Dungannon Elementary School.
Mr. Johnson was a member of Dungannon Freewill Baptist Church and
attended Moore's Memorial Baptist Church. He was Past Master of
Fincastle Lodge No. 33, member of the Disabled American Veterans, Gate
City American Legion, and Dungannon High School Alumni Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Douglas and Liza
Donelson Johnson; son, James Fred Johnson; andbrother, Robert
Johnson.
Surviving are his wife, Emily Geneva Brickey Johnson, of the home;
daughter and son-in-law, Norma L. and Barto Glenn Daugherty,
Nickelsville; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Patrick E. and Danna
Jewell Dingus Johnson, Nickelsville; grandchildren, Patricia Ann
Harris, William Patrick Johnson, Jonathan Paul Johnson, Wendy Carol
Blodgett, Roger Douglas Daugherty; great-grandchildren, Corey
Blodgett, Alexander Roach, Jacquline Hazlett,Daniel Elliott, Chandler
Daugherty and Andy Harris; great-great-grandchildren, Tyler Hazlett,
Haylee Hazlett, Brianna Freeman; brother, Charles Floyd Johnson,
Anderson, S.C.; special sister-in-law, Bonnie Owens Singleton; several
nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 7:45 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home,
Weber City, Va., and anytime at the residence.
A masonic service will be conducted at 7:45 p.m. today by Fincastle
Lodge No. 33.
Services will follow with the Rev. Steve Collins and the Rev. Ralph
Flanary officiating.
Music will be provided by Patty and Bob Tipton.
Military graveside serviceswill be at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by
American Legion Hammond Post No. 3and No. 265 at Holston View
Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Patrick Johnson, Daniel Elliott, Mark
Harris, Tony Blodgett, Andy Harris, Bobby Monet,Roger Daugherty and
Jonathan Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Scott, Phil Osborne, Myron Salyers,
Larry Frazier, Joe Meade and W.C. Taylor.

KINGSPORT- George (Junior) Graham Brickey Jr., 76, entered into rest
Sunday (Aug. 15,2004) at Indian Path Medical Center.
He was born in Ft. Blackmore, Va., July21, 1928, to the late George
G. Brickey Sr. and Bessie Owens Brickey.
Otherthan his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother,
Emmett Brickey; and step-mother, Nora Brickey.
Mr. Brickey resided in Kingsport for the past 51years and worked at
J.P. Stevens for 42 years, retiring in 1993. Mr. Brickeyattended
Oakwood Forest Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, June Begley Brickey, of the home; son, Gary
Allen Brickey, Greeneville; daughter, LisaBrickey Darnell and husband
Wayne, Kingsport; granddaughters, Brittany NicoleBlevins and Makaylah
Morgan Darnell, both of Kingsport, U.S. Army SpecialistJennifer Ann
Darnell, Ft. Bragg, N.C.; sisters, Emily Johnson, Nickelsville,Va.,
Sona Bingham and husband Jim of Kingsport; and a brother, Donnie
Brickey and wife Jenny of Ft. Blackmore, Va.; several nieces and
nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at Gate City
Funeral Homeand also anytime at the home.
Services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. today in the Gene Falin
Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Larry Munsey officiating.
Music will be provided by Marvin and Marie Winkle.
Graveside serviceswill be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Tri-Cities
Memorial Gardens, Blountville,Tenn.
The Brickey family will be meeting at 10:45 a.m. at the cemetery for
the graveside services.
Joe Begley, Bill Begley, Jerry Crawford, B.W. Winstead, Johnny Bruner
and James Darnell will serve as pallbearers.
Doug Bruner, Pat Johnson, Timmy Darnell and Joe Curry will serve as
honorary pallbearers.

11727. Audrey Mae Begley

KINGSPORT - Audrey Begley Fletcher, 59, 1034 Sharondale Ave., went to
be withthe Lord Friday (April 19, 2002) at 4:45 a.m. after a
courageous battle withcancer. Her family and friends were present.
She was a devoted Christian, daughter, sister and aunt, who gave
unselfishly of herself to her family and friends.
She retired from Eastman in 1999 after 30 years of service.
She attended West View Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her infantson, Chauncy Gale Fletcher;
her father, William Horton Begley; and her maternal and paternal
grandparents.
Surviving are her mother, Ida Hall Begley; three sisters, Faye
Calhoun, Kingsport, Edna Churchwell, Mount Carmel and JoyceBegley,
Lynn Garden; four brothers, G.C. and Shelby Begley, Church Hill, Doug
and Elsie Begley, Mount Carmel, William D. (Buddy) and Anna Grace
Begley,Kingsport and Royce and Euna Mae Begley, Church Hill; 17
nieces and nephews,Velma Still, Reda Rowell, Kathy Johnson, Karen
Farley, Angela Morris, Felicia Begley, Shara Malone, Sharlene Malone,
Jimmy Lane, Darrell Lane, Richard Begley, David Begley, Dewayne
Begley, Steve Begley, Keith Fletcher, Greg Fletcher, Brian Malone; and
several aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and nephews and many
wonderful friends and co-workers from Eastman. The family would like
to give their eternal thanks to Wellmont Hospice.

Baptist Church on Fairview Avenue.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the church with Pastor
Mike Stout and the Rev. J.W. Depew officiating.
Entombment will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Oak Hill Mausoleum. Family and
friends should meet at 12:45 p.m.

George Augustus "G.A." Johnson

FT. BLACKMORE, Va. _ George Augustus (G.A.) Johnson, 66, died Thursday
(June15, 2000) due to a tractor accident.
He was born in Scott County, Va. on July13, 1933 and was a lifelong
resident of Ft. Blackmore, Va. He was a graduateof Dungannon High
School. He loved farming and was employed by the United States Postal
Service for 40 years, having served as Postmaster of Ft. Blackmore,
Va. since 1967. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, R.F. Johnson in 1978.
Surviving are his wife, BobbieBaldwin Johnson, Ft. Blackmore, Va.;
two daughters, Lou Ann Johnson, Rocky Mount, Va. and Nancy Jane
Johnson, Ft. Blackmore, Va.; his mother, Nannie T. Johnson, Ft.
Blackmore, Va.; three sisters and brother-in-law, Ms. Evelyn Johnson,
Ft. Blackmore, Va., Ralph and Helen Smith, Gate City, Va., and Ms.
Clara Parman, Knoxville; one brother and sister-in-law, John Myron and
Marie Johnson, Church Hill; one aunt, Mrs. Maude Stewert, Ft.
Blackmore, Va.; severalnieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. today at GateCity Funeral Home and
other times at the residence.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Gene Falin Memorial
Chapel of the funeral home withthe Rev. Herman Quillen officiating.
Music will be provided by Dorothy Hicks,Palmer Peak, and Ricky Mann.
Military graveside services will be conducted at11 a.m. Monday at the
Johnson Family Cemetery in Ft. Blackmore, Va. by the Charles DeWitt
Byrd Post No. 3382 of the V.F.W.
The family will be meeting atthe cemetery for the graveside services.
Cecil Mann, David Mann, John BrickeySr., John Brickey Jr., Harold
Dillon, Jacob Beaver, Bill Carter and W.K. Winegarner will serve as
pallbearers.
