GATE CITY, Va. - Mildred "Mickey'' Tipton Frazier, 73, went to be with
theLord at 5:15 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 22, 2004) at Holston Valley
Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
A lifelong resident of Scott County, Va. (Gate City, Va.), she was a
graduate of Shoemaker High School.
She was an avid golfer, loved to garden and she loved to play bridge
and golf with alot of close friends. She was also very involved in
Gate City school sports.
She was a lifelongbusinesswoman having been in business with her late
husband. She instilled astrong work ethic and determination for a
person to succeed in anything thatthey pursued.
She was a member of the Scott County Park and Golf Course and close to
alot of people in different walks of life that was dear friends to
her. She was chairman of the Board of Frazier and Sons Inc., which
operates Thrift Way Supermarkets. She was a member of Gate City United
Methodist Church.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and was a friend to all
whoknew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, B.W. Frazier; her father,
C.E. Tipton; and one infant brother.

Surviving are her mother, LillianPeters Tipton, Longview, Tex.; two
sons and daughters-in-law, Terry W. Frazier and wife Colleen and
William Jeffery Frazier and wife Jennifer, all of GateCity, Va.;
three grandchildren, Courtney Paige Frazier, Seth Thomas Frazierand
William Tyler Frazier, all of Gate City, Va.; two sisters, Mary
Shiversand husband Lynn and Peggy Bruner and husband Maxey, all of
Longview, Tex.;three brothers, William "Bill'' Tipton and wife
Bobbie, Jimmy Tipton and wife, Annette, all of Longview, Tex., and
Carl Tipton and wife Karol, Seattle, Wash.; several nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and great-nephews.
Calling hoursare from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Scott County Funeral Home,
Weber City, Va. Friends may also call anytime at her residence or at
the residence of her son's.
Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel
with the Rev. Dale Wyrick officiating and the eulogy given by Pat
Loggans. Muisc will be provided by Jim Belt Baker.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at Holston View
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ty Frazier, Seth Frazier, Sammy Bellamy, Ron
Belamy, Tony Loggans, Dwayne Foster, Tim Wells, Mickey Miller, B.K.
Addington and Mark Blanton.
Honorary pallbearers will be B.J. Broadwater, Pat Loggans, Lynn
Loggans, Raymond Reed, Howard Gardner, EddieRichmond and Bill Carter.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gate City United Methodist

ROGERSVILLE _ Matthew Daniel Tipton, beloved son of Danny E. and Kathy
K. Tipton, went to be with the Lord Thursday (June 1, 2000).
A memorial service willbe held in his honor at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June
13, 2000, at the Christ Fellowship Church in Kingsport off I-81.
All friends and family are invited to come celebrate Matthew's life
and graduation.
