KINGSPORT - Shirley Lee Crawford, 64, 3220 Rushmore Rd., went to with
the Lord at 5 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 19, 2002) following an extended
period of poor health.
Shirley was born in Kingsport and had lived hereher entire life. She
graduated from Sullivan High School and was a member ofMill Creek
Missionary Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Her parents, Harold and Edna Hood; son, Hobert RandyCrawford; sister,
Edith Phillips; and a brother, Leonard Gordon Hood preceded her in
death.
Surviving are her husband, Hobert R. Crawford, of the home;son and
daughter-in-law, Dane and Joan Crawford, Belmont, N.C.; two
grandchildren, Michael Crawford and Keith Crawford; sister, Carol Cox,
Kingsport; three brothers, Sammy Hood, Roy Hood, and Johnny Hood, all
of Kingsport.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Chapel,
downtown.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel
with the Rev. Jim Spivey officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at East Lawn
Memorial Park.

KINGSPORT - Hobert Crawford, 72, of 3220 RushmoreRoad, died Tuesday
(June 3, 2003) in Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a brief
illness.
Mr. Crawford was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and a veteran
of the U.S. Army. He was an employee of Brooks Circle Exxon.
He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
His wife, Shirley Hood Crawfordpreceded him in death February 2002.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Dannie and Marior
Crawford; brother, Clifford Crawford; and one son, Hobert Randy
Crawford.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dane and Joan Crawford,
Belmont, N.C.; two grandsons, Michael Crawford and Keith Crawford; one
sister, Berlie Crawford, Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral
Homes, downtown Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral homechapel
with the Rev. Jim Spivey and the Rev. Jim Mullins officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at East Lawn
Memorial Parkwith military rites conducted by Charles DeWitt Byrd
Post #3382 of the VFW.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
