WEAVERVILLE, N.C. - Frieda Jeree Raby Dockery, 50, passed away
Wednesday (March 7, 2001) at Mission St. Joseph Hospital in Asheville,
N.C.
She was born in Sullivan County on May 25, 1950 and had formerly
resided in Scott County, Va. She was a sales clerk for J.C. Penney.
Mrs. Dockery was a member of Rye Cove Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, WillieS. and
Myrtle Tipton Edwards; paternal grandparents, Matt and Mary Raby;
father-in-law and mother-in-law, Homer E. and Mollie H. Dockery;
nieces, KarenRaby, Karen Roberts, Susan Rollins; and great-nephew,
Jonathan Jarvis.
Surviving are her husband, Charles uDougu Dockery, Weaverville, N.C.;
sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Vanessa Dockery, Kevin and Callie
Dockery and KeithDockery, all of Weaverville, N.C.; parents, Fred
uAlbu and Willie Mae EdwardsRaby, Clinchport, Va.; grandchildren,
Stephanie Dockery, Brandon Wyatt, Katlin Dockery and India Dockery;
brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Melissa Raby, Kingsport; nieces,
Sacha and Chandra Raby, Orlando, Fla.; nephew, Trevor Hardy,
Kingsport; former daughter-in-law, Cindy Gaddy; and a very special
friend, Barbara Gwaltney, Weaverville, N.C.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Colonial Funeral Home,
Weber City, Va.
Services will be conducted at1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home
chapel with the Rev. Gordon McBride, Brother Ray Dockery and a friend,
Dalton Ramsey officiating.
Music will be provided by Doyle and Shirley Castle and Nancy Rhoton.
Burial will follow at Rollins Cemetery, Rye Cove community.
Pallbearers will be Clarence Cassell, Buck Dingus, Mark Rollins, Chris
Rollins, Michael Brickey and Mack Dockery.

KINGSPORT - Danny Ray Hunley Sr., (Dutch Boy), 53, born in Sullivan
County onNov. 18, 1949, departed this life and entered into eternal
rest on Saturday(April 19, 2003). Danny had battled this life with
declining health for several years.
Danny lived in Pennsylvania for 19 years before returning to Tennessee
in 1973. He was an employee of East Tennessee State University
(Kingsport) for 24 years. He retired in 1999 due to declining health.
Danny attended Orebank Church of Jesus Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Georgeand Julie Hunley in
2001; several uncles and aunts.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Wanda (Tipton) Hunley of the home;
son, Danny Ray Hunley Jr. of Kingsport; three daughters, Linda Kellogg
and special son-in-law Bobby, Kingsport, Christy Tipton, Weber City,
Va., and Jessica Hunley of the home; two brothers and sisters-in-law,
George Hunley and wife Ada, Kingsport, Randy Hunleyand wife Cathy,
Church Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Connie Turner and husband
Bobby; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Kellogg, Kimberly Kellogg, Miranda
Kellogg, Carla Kellogg, Amanda Simpson, Nathan Simpson, Sarah Hunley,
Danny RayHunley III, John Daniel Hunley and Summer Hunley; four
uncles, John Hunley,Kingsport, Carter Hunley, Kingsport, Harley
Christian, Pennsylvania, and Issac Walters, South Carolina; two aunts,
Katherine Hunley, Kingsport, and EarlyHunley, Church Hill; two
special little friends, Maranda and Amanda Fletcher;several cousins,
nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Carter-Trent Funeral Home
of downtown Kingsport. Friends may also call anytime at the home, 3832
Eastline Drive, Apt. 76, MillerVillage Apartments, Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday inthe funeral home
chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Phillips officiating.
Graveside services will follow in the Morning Star Cemetery, Church
Hill.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hunley, Steve Rogers, Paul Hunley, Ronnie
Tipton, Bobby Carter and Scott Derrick.
Honorary pallbearer is Danny R. Hunley III.
