KINGSPORT - Kenneth Dayton Bare, 3421 Lightwood Street, went to be
with the Heavenly Father on Tuesday (May 1, 2001) at Holston Valley
Medical Center.
He was born in Sullivan County, and lived his entire life here.
Mr. Barewas co-owner and operator of Bills G.E. for the past 25
years. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Technician by Whos Who
of Tennessee.
He was a member of Springdale Baptist Church. Mr. Bare was an avid
hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Dayton Bare; a
brother, Michael Eugene Bare; a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Bare.
Surviving are his daughter,Amy Nichole Bare McDavid, Kingsport; his
mother, Mary Lois Bare, Kingsport, fiancee, Martha Winstead,
Kingsport; a special aunt and uncle, Shirley and Gene Byrd, Church
Hill; an aunt, Mary Huckably, Church Hill; uncles, Kelly Ketron,
Kingsport, Willard Huckably and Pete Bare, both of Church Hill; a
special niece, Tara Bare; special nephews, Josh and Michael Bare.
Calling hours willbe from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Funeral
Home, and anytime at the residence of Gene and Shirley Byrd, 228
Chestnut Street, Church Hill.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home
chapel with the Rev.Alan Buckles and Tim Vaughn officiating.
Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Shrine Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris
Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605-4277.
Pallbearers will be Scott Byrd, Terry Byrd,Scott Ketron, Josh Ketron,
Tim Vaughn, James Bare.
Mike Cradic will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
