GATE CITY, Va. - William Hiram "Bill'' Head Jr., 53, Route 2, entered
into rest Wednesday (Jan. 28, 2004) at Holston Valley Medical Center
after a brief illness.
Born in Sullivan County on Sept. 16, 1950, he was the son of the late
William H. Head Sr. and Beulah Lawson Head.
Bill was a systems operator withEastman Chemical Company for 34
years.
He was a loving husband and wonderful father. He was of the Baptist
faith.
Surviving are his wife, Glenda Flanary Head, Gate City, Va.; two
daughters, Kathy and Christy Head, both of Gate City, Va.; one brother
and sister-in-law, Ben and Freda Head, Duffield, Va.; nephew and wife,
Bryan and Marnie Head, Blountville; father and mother-in-law,George
and Opal Flanary, Ft. Blackmore, Va.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gate City Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday in the Gene Falin Memorial
Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. EckelHead officiating.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holston View Cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

building 248.
